I worked on the Lotus Emira production line ( Specifically rear subframe and drivetrain) and just wanted to say that the kit looks amazing. Just one thing I would say is that there is a vent in the stock rear diffuser that catches air to cool and help manage temperatures around one of the catalytic converters. I believe that it has been blocked off from what I see in the video and it may be worth looking at.
It's most likely 3M VHB automotive tape. VHB is Very High Bond. Believe me, it isn't coming off without a considerable amount of effort. I have a ducktail spoiler on my 2006 Mustang GT that I added before I took delivery of it when it was new. Only on with tape and it's 18 years old now and doesn't budge an inch. This is fine. 👍
Looks really nice! Did the car get it's geo redone after it was lowered? Usually you get more negative camber from reduced ride height, so usually you'd want to have the geo adjusted.
Not a fan of the rear spoiler or having add-ons held in place purely by double sided tape for that matter... Agree with another comment that a full replaceable rear splitter would have been preferable. The skirts and front spoiler look really smart
@@Driv300mphI actually won the car via 7 Days Performance a month ago 🎉🎉🎉 It's in the garage getting the suspension raised up as it was far too low for the road, 4 corners and geometry to be done. £400!
Looks nice but..... You need to round the under edge of the splitter for it to draw air under to create high speed air (low pressure), to gain downforce. That effect will be ruined further by the Ridge behind the splitter. Nice diffuser though.
So, do you have measurements? ♦ Or, do you just have good looks? Do you have any before / after numbers on drag co-efficient, down-force, lift, etc.? These are VERY IMPORTANT considerations that must be measured.....if you're on a track doing 100+mph and you get lift, that effect can prove deadly, as in the case of the Silver State Challenge in Nevada on Hwy 318 in the late 1990s when an entrant took his 911 Tubro and outfitted it to look like a 959----that rear wing design, being mounted improperly & not measured, gave the car too much lift & basically caused the driver & his wife to fly into the Nevada desert during a sweeping turn at 130+ mph. So, have you measured anything Before / After installing your kit? Thanks for the reply! BTW, it looks FREAKING AMAZING---I'd love to put it on my car, as long as you have numbers.
6 months since you posted, but.... He didn't actually sell it to Carl Hartley, he bought it from him! He posted another video a couple of months ago where he tries to sell some of his cars and makes mention of it in the video. A bit loose with creative licence methinks. 😂 I won the car from 7 Day Performance and it had 2 prior owners, the one who sold it to Hartley and McCann. I also had the suspension raised a bit as it was undrivable on my local roads.
To be fair, they DO make additional holes to the leading edge of the diffuser, everything else utilises OEM fittings … if I had an Emira I would have this kit in a heartbeat, looks superb!!
Sorry but this is nothing special. The car looks beautiful without any modifications. Especially Miner ones like this that just add tacky carbon fiber.
The car is beautiful but the engine sucks..it sucks at low revs, funny around 5-6.8-that's all you got..a car like that should pull 8-9k Much better is the cayman gts or gt4. Too bad about the engine inside.
@@EvoraGT430if I have a Porsche, I have a warranty of 15 years or 200,000 km, that's why it doesn't bother me to blow it up any time😃🍻, not to mention the service of the Lotus is tragic and you always have to wait for parts for several months, we can't compare Lotus and Porsche here, it's as if you were comparing tissot and rolex watches. No discus here.

No offense...I don't really care about the owner's reaction, I want to see the car!
It’s good to see how popular this kit has turned out to be…😂
I checked there website and it's only available to preorder, Mark mccann is just a paid influencer who has had it done free of charge
Fantastic job! Anyone that critiques this, just make sure you post up a photo of your car.
Why not make the rear diffuser as a complete replacement for the original piece instead of an overlay?
The spoiler just sticks on with tape?

lip spoilers usually are
This is what the car needs, beautiful!!
Nice work guys, it looks great!

by lowering that car you've taken confidence out of every b road!
Looking to get this for my emira. How much all in??
Hello Guys, will you ship Parts to Germany?
What happened to the suspension perch lowering the ride height, why have you removed it? The comments about it have been removed too 🤔
Yep they definitely edited this video... I was looking for that rolling shot that's no longer there!
@@Driv300mphI actually won the car via 7 Days Performance a month ago 🎉🎉🎉 It's in the garage getting the suspension raised up as it was far too low for the road, 4 corners and geometry to be done. £400!
Why did you remove the video section where you install the grp lowering kit ? 😢
Yeah what happened to the suspension modification? There used to be a small clip of the car rolling with the kit on; not anymore! Why remove?
Looks freakin sick!!!🧯

Really nice big of kit 👌✨ really accentuates the curves of the car ⚡
Hi guys amazing work do you have something for mclaren artura ? I'll be interested to buy !
how mcuh have you lowered the car.
?
What’s the exhaust system? Miltek?
Great work
There is no need to low the car, to be honest
Bumps are waiting for you 😂
Nice work
No turbo lag. Hydraulic steering. What a shame nobody else can provide it at a lower price point
Begging for a Set of Wheels for Completion.. 😎👍 Still Looks Great Though!
the kit is niiice 👌
Dobt like the spoiler
Would have liked to have seen the car instead of filming the guys walking around it
I like the kit, but I wouldn’t have lowered it
Yikes this looks clean

Lowered with that splitter......wouidn't have got off the trailer and making it not fit for UK roads
Just what I was thinking. Looks good though
Did you hear that?
I think it was Colin Chapman spinning in his grave as you add weight to a lotus purely for poser value 😂
Why are there no lotus giveaways?? Thats the only way ill afford one
Thought he flipped his lotus to Tom Hartley the same day as he bought it

There is no need to lower the car🤔🫣
There is if the customer is asking for that.
💙💙💙
👌👌👌 now it need wheels
This carbon add-on is really unnecessary. Car looks good stock.
SUPER Lotus Emira!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wheres the video of the car? I mostly see a gwai lo...wtf
Sick😢
Where’s the car ? Nobody see the car…
You have basically done your best to turn the Emira into the Evora GT, but it's still not near as good a performing car.
Will get ripped off when he jumps it anyway.. 😂
I don't see what everyone sees in this car. I can't stand it. But everyone has their own flavor.
# Cammry..Toyota...× bs Kit 👌
‘FGM’ huh huh huh
This look two mutche liek the real sports car ,FERRARI
Double sided tape 'gulps'
They are making holes everywhere!! I wouldn’t do that to a brand new car
No they’re not uses original holes, on the front bumper they are there already
They didn't make a single hole
Good thing is not yours

Modifying vehicles is not for the faint of heart.
Ghastly.
Stick with the Lamborghini

But it doesn't blow up, like Porsche engines.

Awful.
They really need to make a battery powered rivnut tool. I know they make one but i think its a G.
Nice work guys, it looks great!
