It's settled and has been since Christ chose His Twelve Apostles and then the Seventy Disciples too as a model for clergy, them ordaining men too with that model. It is His will. We cannot depart from it. We must abide His will in humility. Lord have mercy on us. 🙏 ☦︎

from my observation women's ordination always lead to greater apostasy. All the aforementioned denominations also include homosexual clergy.

I'm an ex charismatic inquirer, who recently began catechism and I've been paying attention to this issue developing in EO. I can tell you that as a cradle charismatic that feminism planted its ugly seed in many of the mega churches that I attended and over the years it spiraled so far out of control that there were pastors of evangelism that would hand out condoms at pride parades with scriptures attached to them. We had a very prominent female youth pastor who brainwashed many young people and developed her own empire for financial power.
Additionally, we can see in today's Western political state that communism seeks to destroy and erode tradition on every front. From the holy union of nuclear families to the tradition of church. The protestant sphere has no tradition. I'm thankful to The Lord for providing the one true church that adheres to holy traditions that have been preserved through apostolic succession. It is the tradition of the true church that will be a safeguard against the attacks of the devil who seeks to divide and corrupt.

Lot of talk about woman deaconess’s on orthodox channels- it’s very worrying and a slippery slope- they say it’s based on alleged historic precedence - it’s not convincing at all - as Fr Heers says : it’s a no- brainer
Orthodox channels are not the end all, the saints in continuity with the canons

Amen! Lest anyone accuse Fr. Peter of Athonite/Hellenic "exclusivism," which has been done before, Mt. Athos is the "heart" of Orthodoxy bc of the spiritual life/struggle there. It's not an authority in and of itself. We follow the saints and elders bc of their holiness, whether Athonite, Russian, Romanian, etc.
Also because the Theotokos herself chose this place as her garden.

Christ regularly challenged the norms and standards of the time. If He wanted to choose women as Apostles, He would have appointed Mary Magdalene and others. But He did not.
I totally agree that women being priest is unorthodox but let's always remember their great value and contribution to Orthodoxy. You will never enter an Orthodox Church without seeing the Most Holy Theotokos with Christ or go through Pascha without hearing the story of Mary of Egypt teaching a high priest.
Ruth, Esther and hundreds of Saints were women. Mount Athos belongs to a women, the Most Holy Theotokos indeed.
Women stayed for the crucifixion and were the first at the resurrection, but to be priest? NO, its not our role.

I listened to the AFR doc. I think it's good because they exposed that the proponents of ordaining female deacons are definitely innovating and not really being honest about the historical role of deaconesses. Also the AFR people affirmed that women ought to have a lot of important roles in the church but do not need to be ordained to do so

Hello, I didn’t know where to ask this question so i felt the most recent video is the best. I have personally struggled with faith my whole life. I find it hard to believe in God yet I do not want to simply give up. I view Christ with great admiration and do not deny his greatness. I wish deeply to find the faith within myself and keep it kindled. Is there any advice or tips on how to keep steadfast in such a predicament?
Read the Bible daily, or try to. Start with the gospels, and further tru the NT, then OT. Pray everyday. Start with the Jesus Prayer. And, most important, become part of a parish and go to as many liturgies as you can.
Learn about Theoisis, and the 30 steps to heaven.

@papeter910 I agree with everything said here. Start by simply going to liturgy and just experience it, don't try to participate in it just yet. I've never not believed, in fact I feel badly for those who don't believe. Hopefully you'll be able to find a really nice parish to have fellowship with. It really helps. Plus it's nice to make some new friends who can answer questions.
All of the above and read “ Mere Christianity” by CS Lewis - a very good book for people who have problems believing in the reality of Christ as the son of god and the truth of Christianity

Father, can you explain to us why Metropolitan of greek patriarchate of Alexandria ordained women to diaconate?
He departed from holy tradition, he innovated, he fell away from that which was practiced by the church. Tragedy for him. The error will be expelled in due time by the church.

Is it correct that a reader in the church needs to be "ordained" as a reader? Genuinely concerned because my parish just had a woman read the epistle before the Gospel this past Sunday, I have scheduled time with my priest to discuss it and have been researching Church Canon, want to make sure i am understanding this issue, it is wrong to have a female reader, is this correct?
Is it wrong to have a female read out the Gospel/Good News. Was it wrong for Jesus to commission Mary Magdelene to be the 1st to announce the resurrecting? Was it wrong for the Holy Spirit to ordain a 120 men and women to preach the Gospel?
The Queens were more powerful anyway so why would anyone prefer to become a clergy member and if denied cry about sexism

They are not in the Orthodox Church. They are Protestants, they do not have ordination period. The Church will not allow such degeneracy.

It was also "impossible" that bishops and clergy would innovate the celebrating of the liturgy via livestreams and ban the kissing of icons and force masks in the temples of God and deny Divine Grace and its Power and yet that happened. So as an Orthodox Christian I won't hold my breath that female clergy won't also eventually be forced on the Orthodox as well.

Won't happen. Definitely not at my Parish, or ROCOR in general. No way. It is likely to happen in GOARCH and the Antiochian jurisdictions, and they will be cut off for this heresy. Sadly, the latter has female altar servers. This started with the implementation of the New Calendar.
