Great to know. I love the military poncho, because it is so varied in its uses. I never thought about this configuration before. I'll give it a go. Thanks. Retired U.S. Marine.
Wicked film Mr tank. I've got tarp clips, but never used them. Guess good idea to carry them.👍🏴 by the way the foreign message has nothing to do with me!!! (Lol) 🏴
@@outsidertank The manual was written in either 1932 or 1934, I forget which. I bought an English translation of it a while back. Very expensive, but lots of info on all the various configurations, up to a troop size tent with wood burner! You just keep tying them together, as big as you want!
Instead of putting your Stick in the entrance, you can open the area up by using a short length of Cord to tie the stick Outside the shelter; then use the regular Line to secure it to the ground.
But the Soviet poncho (cloak-tent) has dimensions of 180x180 centimeters. For people taller than 175, it will be uncomfortable to spend the night under it )))
@@outsidertank it's the name of the configuration that you have your poncho set up, triangle at the front and square at the back, still the same even with the centre tie off pulled out. I had to search tarp configurations to find out the name but I've been doing for months with a bigger british army basha tarp, it's cosy AF with more room. The ranger diamond fly tarp configuration is also a good one.
i been wonderin how to use my Army woobie.. this is 1 way.. i need more. Also, why am I the obe who calls this a woobie? Isn't it literally called a woobie? Or is that a Army Sapper thing?

I dont understand what you hooked the Paracord to for the backpart of the poncho tent
Ahh just a stick, wrap the paracord around the stick once, then anchored down..
