@@andilengwane3372 It's really nice to have if you can afford it and even if you can at some point it just get tiresome paying those big bills, that's why you rarely see someone go big twice or even bigger. @@venom5809 Agreed. I'm from South Africa, I'm only 25 but I'm privileged enough to own quite a bit of natural land that's situated in a place that is near public roads, about 15 minutes from the main city, currently undergoing modernisation through big government funded projects, I've had the land three years now and its only going up in value, and in that time I haven't even spent I've R6000 to maintain it ( some Bushclearing every few months). This side of the world we pretty much only use brick and stone. I've never considered ponds though I think I'll actually look into that, I've always been a fan of isolated bodies of water.

@@andilengwane3372 For reference, I had a 7,000 sq.ft house with a 2,000+ sq.ft guest house on 16 acres not that long ago and it cost me about $3,000 a month to run if nothing went wrong. Just to cut the grass was $1,000 a month. This house is definitely a lot lot more than that. To change my roofs was almost $100,000 alone. Never again.
@@venom5809 that's ridiculous. But if I'm being honest, if I had the money, time and patience to spare I'd still much rather have a property like this than those overpriced apartments and townhouses in London. Even for my children, to go out of boarding school into a a place with space for any budding hobbies as well as that "go do it yourself" country culture.
@@andilengwane3372 It's really nice to have if you can afford it and even if you can at some point it just get tiresome paying those big bills, that's why you rarely see someone go big twice or even bigger. Land that's natural that you don't have to take care of isn't so bad. My current house is about half the square footage on about an acre but I have multiple ponds and I am probably going to build an addition with a pool, hot tub, sauna and steam shower and maybe a small apartment and I should be happy with that. Also build all brick or stone, you won't believe how much money that will save you over the years. My old house and guest house were wood siding and it was $30,000 to paint them both.
Property is amazing. The presenting could do more work though. Its so dry and seems as though they're winging half of it.
I would put 2 10 pin bowling allies in the banquet room
The whole estate was pretty nice and then fumbled down hard in the master bedroom. She had that brilliant cover, "So regal". And it was all broken up too. Going to need to throw $4M and add in a total remodel of everything in the master suite.
In Canada this would be 200 Million. SO this is a great deal but I have none of those millions.
I wouldn't mind being on staff there, but the chaise lounge in the bathroom is totally insane.
The stove with the copper is lovely..stick to the traditional British country style without nonsence.
Beautiful yes beautiful yes
They took it off the market and have put it back on for £6 million - if it didn't sell for £4 million, why do they think it's going to sell for £2 million more for no apparent reason for the price increase?!
most likely made some renovations i'm guessing, it's the only thing that explains the increase.
@@Simm2DimmI’ve seen the listings for it, it’s exactly the same, they haven’t made any subsequent renovations 🤷🏼♂️
Think Tom sped through his section :(( was there a timer on or something??
This is a heaven truly !
The whole house is my favourite

Inimitably English... gorgeous country manor home.
Love it and where it is just lovely .. Compare this to the poky flats of London .. I know where I'd live.
