Out of curiosity, why do you shift for the octaves in the last verse rather than just going across the strings?
Similarly why not just keep the pre-chorus in the same position (G16-D17-19-16-A19 D19-A19-17-16) instead of shifting?

That's a nice question. My G string, maybe bcause it's been used too much (lol), hasn't a nice rounded big sound like the other strings. So during riffs I prefer to go up on lower strings to make it sound fuller and better

The way this song is mixed it’s really hard to hear the bass except for during the prechorus

You should learn and play the bass with the headphones, than tell me how you do to hear it from songs

@@AngeloFatigati I use headphones and usually can hear the bass especially if I really try to focus on hearing it. I like being in the car by myself so I can really crank it up and hear and feel the bass
