In the context of where Batman's career is in this movie, being angry, emtional and brutal is actually a good portrayal for this Batman. He's young, angry and hasn't developed that detached professionalism you'd see in modern iterations.
In the comics he was just a detective in his first years. Its the movies which did him much darker

He's pre-Robin. Robin was the turning point for the character. Without Robin he would probably still be running around with guns like The Shadow.
Yo the rumor about Kravitz and Pattinson having sex on the batmobile (and her being pregnant with his child) was made up and came out of a 4chan post. Yes people who worked on the film said that these are all rumors and are false. Multiple crew members have stated how professional Rob and Zoe are and that especially the sex on the batmobile prop never happened. They have been spotted off set together so they most likely are seeing eachother but what professional, famous actor would have sex in front of the crew members let alone stay on set to even have sex. When you are working on a film you and its a big budget studio production like this the last thing you want to do is stay on set longer after shooting. You want to go home after a 12-14 hour day...even if they wanted to have sex they have personal trailers as well as could have easily got a hotel room after the days shoot to handle business. Imagine being a crew member wrapping on a days shoot, putting away lights or equipment and out of the corner of your eye you see the actors fucking on the production props. Get out of here, that would never happen these days in Hollywood. Maybe in the 70s or 80s but not in this up-tight, professional environment.

I think he looks great as a young, angry and troubled Bruce Wayne in his second year as Batman. He is still unsure of himself and what Batman represents and has yet to become the Bruce/Batman we know.

Yeah, fair enough, but personally I prefer the stoic Batman of Bale, and even when they showed him as younger man before he was Batman we know, learning how to fight, he was still cool and controlled with his emotions.
It’s only later that Joker pushes him to his limit that emotions begin to show and he becomes angry and troubled. I find that interplay far more compelling for a young or older Batman. But, as I commented in another post, if it’s written well and well acted, I’ll have very little problem with it and roll with it.
If they mess up, then they leave themselves open for this criticism, which is a fair one.

It looks like this will be softly based on Court of Owls. Looks like he is working with the GCPD and things go sour. Along with investigation of top Gotham officials. And Batman is wearing Quills that Talon usually has.
This is the first movie of a new Batman trilogy so it very well could go into the court of owls storyline in the second or third movie which would be awesome to see in live action on the big screen..hopefully it happens

Man this Batman movie looks seriously legit , it’s nice to see this grounded Batman after seeing the high fantasy batfleck, which I still enjoy , but it’s nice to see the style of this Batman

Also also for Alex's thing, you have to remember, THIS IS A YOUNG BATMAN. He's not refined like we're used to. The fact that he's taking bullets point blank, and says "I don't care what happens to me" shows that. He just DOES NOT CARE. So I don't think we're gonna see a LOT of that detective work, a lot of him using his smarts until the end when he finally has that realization of what Batman is meant to represent. This is a movie about fighting for the SOUL of WHO Batman IS. And that's what has me so intrigued.

This trailer was so damn impressive that Marvel saw it and immediately knew that Doctor Strange 2 had NO SHOT to compete in March so they pushed it back.

Well, that's why I don't like Batman in the Justice League. I don't buy him being more intelligent than people like Darkside, Superman or The Flash. Their superpowers require brains that have to be way faster and more efficient than the human brain of even the smartest guy ever. Batman is there with superpowered dudes just because of his popularity, his presence doesn't make sense at all. I like Batman alone in a more grounded world, I don't like him surviving punches from freaking Darkside.

@@lewisconnor3038 They should be smarter than him. In order to control their superpowers, by logic, they need more powerful brains than humans. Clark and Barry, given their speed, have to process information waaaaaay faster than Bruce Wayne could ever do, so even if he was "smarter" the speed advantange they have would easily nullify that. People like Wonder Woman need different brains in order to live for such a long time, that alone would necessarily give them a memory waaaay larger than Batman's, and in such a long time, they would have definitely dealt at least once with almost every situation Batman has faced in his lifetime. The experience difference would be also huge in this case. Now, people like Darkside of Brainiac? that should be a whole new level, but most writing in comics is bad so I guess most people just get used to it.

I was skeptical on Pattinson as Batman but after this trailer I’ve gotta say, I’m cautiously optimistic and loving how he sounds, the only thing i still can’t get behind is how small he looks in the Batsuit

youre right. the director said he wanted it to be early batman, but not go through the origin. so he will already be batman in the beginning of the movie, but this movie is going to basically be year 1 batman. and the origins per se is going to be the villains. we see how the batman effects gotham and see the super villains rise because of the bat

This is Year 2 Batman. He’s still finding himself in his alter ego of the Batman and the mask of Bruce Wayne. He’s full of rage, psychologically screwed up and in a lot of emotional pain. He’s a tragic character, it’s just as he gets older, he gains more control over his emotions and hides them a lot better. He still goes through all of it but he’s developed his moral code. Here he hasn’t developed anything yet. He’s young and pure vengeance.
For those unaware, the corridor scene seems to be directed by the Vader rogue one guy.
Most anticipated Batman film for me ever it looks brutal.

Could be the movie where he's young and angry and inexperienced and even thought he wins at the end of the movie, these traits could mean he also makes a big mistake that lessens his win. And this prompts and drives his character development for the next movies where he becomes that world's greatest detective that Alex is referring to

I agree with Alex , Batman is a brilliant detective and that’s been ignored in recent movies . That’s why I believe a villain like the riddler is perfect for bringing that aspect of the character back . Love the design for Batman’s suit , this looks like a young Bruce Wayne who’s just beginning to upgrade his gear , excited for this one for sure !

To me it looks like a masterpiece and a Batman fan's dream come true. Detective story inspired by Chinatown, Long Halloween and Seven, the characterization of Batman inspired by Batman Ego and Arkham Origins, the grounded Gotham from Year One. Alfred, the Batcave, Martha supposedly having mental issues, and the serial killer version of Riddler, all from Earth One. I also see some Zero Year in it. He's so dark and slimmer which are some complaints people have, but don't realize that's it's actually canon to a younger Batman. It's great.
This whole trailer gave me chills also I love the Seven vibes plus the ego comic takeaways this’ll be most likely the best Batman film. For BATMAN. Not Nolan. I love Nolan films for the villains

I think the thing that got me most excited for this new movie was the interview Pattinson just did over the weekend. He talked about studying the history of Batman from back in the Golden Age up until Tom King's stuff that was just coming out as they started filming. He's taking it really seriously and I'm all in for that.
Now that's an actor that takes their roles seriously

Between Colin Farrell's transformation here and RDJ being made to look emaciated in Endgame, I think it's safe to assume that advances in makeup and CGI have made the Christian Bale method of preparing for roles by unsafely gorging or starving yourself unnecessary. This movie looks Dark Knight level awesome

The trailer made me laugh out loud twice. When they showed the question mark in the coffee and when batman is meeting a prisoner and punches the glass and screams. I'm not sold yet.

Superman still has a saving grace, and that's the Rock! He keeps talking about the hierarchy of power in DC changing, and he can't put Black Adam at the top unless he fights Superman. Even on Twitter he was answering questions about Superman and Black Adam, and how Superman's biggest weakness is magic, he has the influence and reach to keep Henry Cavill in the DCEU.
Problem with this is how WB basically gave JJA & Bad Robot to handle DC stuffs, in which high abandoned Henry Cavill Superman.
