Knipex alligator and cobra pliers are different, head angle and handle profile. Cobra pliers fit my small hands better for more grip but a lesser head angle. Unfortunately the button is easy to get depressed in close work, adjusting itself open. Pliers wrenches are fantastic, multi use for other than normal 'water pump' plier use. The first thing I grab to bend something without damaging it. Also to turn flat sided fittings like brass or AN types. Available from both Mac and Snap-On but only at super list prices and NOT happy to warranty them!
Thanks! I'm picking up a few more subs each day. I'm actually shocked I have that many. There's other creators that have had channels up longer that still haven't gotten over 1,000.
I bet everyone else here already owns knipex and watched the video anyway and nodded at all the praise and thought. “Yes, that is correct. I know.” It is what I did, and I became more based.
Thanks for showing all of those to us. I got the pliers-wrench for Christmas and I love it so far--don't think you can go wrong with that brand if you can afford them!
I used Knipex side-cutters (part no. 79 32 125) for a few years for electronics lab work, I'd say they were pretty excellent generally -but- I found they were quite brittle - I managed to break a couple of pairs in light-duty electronics work. I'd say they're nearly as good as Lindstrom (A Swedish company, I think).
Of course that’s not going to happen with thin-walled furniture grade steel, technically not considered a pipe but rather a tube that will collapse under that kind of stress
One can get by without any knipex tools and never need the difference....2mm smaller...does not really matter in 99 percent of situations.Saving money does.
Except for that 1% time when it does. I look at it as spending money now to avoid getting frustrated in the future. I got frustrated working in the shop too many times when I was younger because I didn't have the right tool.
Knipex truly are god-tier. Got me some of their pliers, never looked back.
Absolutely! Thanks for watching.

Really enjoying your content. The SK lore video hooked me, the KD tools was great. I’m a fan. Keep it up!
Thanks. I appreciate it.
Bought my first Knipex pliers from Sears they were rebranded Craftsman and sold as a two pair Bonus Nacho set.
Those were a great deal when Sears was clearancing them out. That was my first experience with Knipex too.
How the hell do you only have 2800 subscribers? Your videos are great. Your channel is gonna blow up one of these days...

I wonder if it's possible to become 'too based' about tools? Nah, probably not.
Thanks! Excellent review! Please review also their wire rope cutter
You're welcome. I'll have to look at the wire rope cutter.
Those aligator pliers look like my PLOMB 240.
Wow, it looks like that style of slip-joint design was a thing all the way back in the 1940s.

Thanks for watching. Yeah, I wish I could afford more of their tools. Everything of theirs I've seen has been top notch quality.

Interesting. Thanks for the info, I'll have to check out Lindstrom.

The TwinGrip ones? I haven't tried them out yet. Might be.
theyre easily in my top 3 for knipex tools

You're probably right. I thought about building a proper test rig out of pipe fittings. Then I saw that old stool in my scrap metal pile...

OK... Someone already used my username so I'm Ballinator1 there.
Chad, giga chad, boomer??
Those are the new official tiers for tier lists. At least in my universe they are...
Ok boomer
Hey now, I'm Gen X. I only occasionally identify as a Boomer on the weekends.
