Jordan Peele actually didnt have any influence on the actual move itself, it was already finished in 2021 or so, and was intended for netflix release but was delayed (not sure exactly why), Peele saw a screening of the movie and thought it was too good to not get a theatrical release so he jumped on it as publisher and made Universal pick it up. This probably means the movie is reaally good but the product was done by Dev Patel
