    What a wonderfully comprehensive video. Viewers are left in no doubt about what they need to do but also about how long it might take. Bravo.

    I love this video! Can you tell us how you came up with your exposure time and your contrast? A video explaining this process would be wonderful. Would you consider that?

    Wait what? Did you mean "Where Gloves" as in where are the gloves you told us to wear in big bold letters at the beginning that she isn't wearing? Great video. Thanks for sharing.

    Inspiring. Subtitles and the music move the process to another level. Will we ever get tired of seeing this magic? No. Thanks for sharing.

      I agree, an excellent demonstration of the process, but we will have to differ on the awful noise.

    How much does the concentration of the developer have to do with the finished product?
    Is there an optimal concentration?

    Hi, Great video, thank you. Is the clearing bath single use or do you store it and re-use it? If you do discard it, is it safe to dispose of down the sink?

    • @bosticksullivan972
      @bosticksullivan972  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can reuse it if you're only doing a few prints at a time. I would say a normal clearing bath will clear about 10-15 prints and after that, you'll want a fresh clearing bath.

    A little dumb question - can you do it without a UV exposure box ? I don`t have this at home, but love to try this technique, is there something i can substitute it for just one photo ?

    What printer did you use to make your negative?

    • @bosticksullivan972
      @bosticksullivan972  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello! At the time we were using the epson R2880. Now the P600, P700 are working all very well. Many canon printers can be worked with now as well. Please call us or email us at www.bostick-sullivan.com for more details!

    Do you coat multiple papers at a time? Is there a maximum time limit that you have for a coated paper (if stored properly) or is it something that needs to be done ASAP after drying?

    • @bosticksullivan972
      @bosticksullivan972  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Definitely, at the beginning of a printing session, you can start coating many pieces that way they'll all be dry but the time you go to expose them. I wouldn't let your coated paper sit for more than a day or two. You can, the problem is that your paper can dry out too much and if there isn't a certain amount of humidity in the paper, it won't print properly at all. But a day or 2 stored in a dry, cool, dark environment will be just fine. You really only have to worry about the paper drying out too much if you live in the southwest or your area has very dry winters.

    Seeing this makes me want to try this. I have had a go at salt printing and cyanotype, but the tones in platinum printing really appeal. One thing I did struggle with was paper. Now I need to find what I need to buy here in the UK. Thanks 👍😊

    Where are the protective gloves??? These chemicals e.g. "Ferrous oxalate" are hazardous in case of skin contact. It is irresponsible to show an educational video and do not care about protective gloves. This is not about baking a cake and using sugar!
