I definitely think that Haaland should have won the Ballon. I can sort of see why Messi got it - World Cup win while being a contributor, helping Inter Miami win their first piece of silverware while being a major contributor - but ultimately, that's a small sampling of games, whereas Haaland not only helped Man City get a freaking treble, but was absolutely dominant in dozens of games. The voters really, really did him dirty. It won't be his last chance to win one, but he should already have one to his name.

Yes, at the time I thought there were only 2 options for him whe he left Dortmund, either City or Real. Originally he favoured Real, don't know what went wrong there. Then it was clear he was going to City.
