@@amytahar9788 Video gaming in the 80s was utterly dominated by Japanese companies. American (and European) studios were good at the more involved games on PCs and home computers, but produced nothing but trash in the 80s on home consoles.
I noticed when by the time they got into the Lords of Shadow series the Japanese commercials got less enthusiastic about it compared to the other commercials they made in the past which as if marked a end of a era especially Lament of Innocence they made the most of which ironically if not hypocritically had a female model play Leon right after IGA retconned Sonia Belmont from canon because he felt that "female warriors didn't exist back then or rather women were sacrifices in Gothic genre" due to sexist reasons that is.
He did make that comment but honestly Sonia's story doesn't make any sense with the rest of the series, not to mention it barely explains the origin of anything despite being the supposed first chapter. And you can't tell me you'd rather get Castlevania Legends than Lament of Innocence lol

He is transforming into them in the original release, it's like their spirit or something.
