It's so meta how much I enjoy Hannah content about Hannah making content! But it's so interesting! And I feel like I never see anyone who loves spreadsheets and organizing as much as I do, so even though notion looks overwhelming and I'm sure I'll never use it, this was so fascinating to watch!!
I recently discovered Notion and while I LOVE a productivity tool it is extremely overwhelming to me. I haven't quite figured out how it fits into my life quite yet.
Yes, Hannah, this is interesting! 😄 I love Notion tours. I've been watched them to get ideas for my Notion (because it is definitely a learning curve), and I've been very much awaiting yours. You inspired me to create a habit tracker... and to revisit parts of my Notion that need some TLC. 😅
The learning curve was so real, and building it so customized to me took months, honestly, but now it is a hub and I am capturing ideas better than anything I've tried before! I love seeing how you are collaborating on it so effectively with those databases and process guides! Thanks for making this
There are SO many of these videos on TH-cam 😂 some Notion set ups that I saw felt way too look over function for me but helped me realise what I needed and didn’t need!
I tried Notion and the learning curve was so challenging. I'm happy I'm not the only one because I gave up. lol. But I'm working to find more productivity hacks, so I love your content. Your budgeting video, made me get my finances in order! ❤️
Oh I’m glad to hear it! And yeah not surprised you gave up - I had time to learn over Christmas/New Year break but I may have given up if I was trying to learn Notion and work at the same time 😂
I love a notion tour 😁 I’ve been using it for a few months and I was soooooo overwhelmed to start with but now I love it. I find it really useful for putting random thoughts and ideas and resources. I use it most for Etsy & TH-cam and I also have life stuff like books & films list and diy home projects
I know this is two years old but I'm starting a new, work-from-home position and am trolling through all of Hannah's productivity videos to get me organized!
Notion is my savior as one who was keeping multiple notes in various notesbooks and onkine documents. And is the only organizing tool that I found that workes for me, a nonorganized (but somewhat structured) person. I agree about the slow start/uploading. When I first start used it was not that slow, maybe because I hadn´t so much thing in it yet. I hope they can get that fixed.
Pausing in the middle of this to say: I found out about First Aid Kit from you and they have become one of my favorite bands so I would LOVE to see that video!!
I've dabbled in Notion a bit, but haven't had time to devote to fully learn it or transfer my various calendars/planners/notes into it. I have a few fun things set up in there (like travel notes from previous and potential trips with my friends), but I'm also a part-time grad student and I know I could more effectively store my class notes in there. But so much of my class stuff and groups projects wind up in Google docs and it's just a hassle to reconfigure everything. I'm hoping by the end of this semester, I'll be able to get myself set up in Notion for my summer classes. I especially love the idea of setting up a resource page for myself, to link to all my useful school databases and digital libraries.
I really just use notion as a running task list. I haven't felt like taking the time to fill out the calendar yet, but probably next semester. I like that I can just add stuff to my task list and not have to find random post it notes I dropped a week ago. :P
Arrghh I've been leaning towards using Notion for a while now. I'm not self-employed or running a business or anything, so I've not been sure if I needed it. I had been using Trello for to-do lists, but I'm finding it lacks something. Anyway...all this to say - this is super helpful! I may have to spend tomorrow setting up a Notion that can work for me...
Why do I keep watching Notion tours when I don't even use it properly and don't plan on it? 😂 I put in a bunch of my old notes from school and uni that were piling on Google Keep, basically to just store them there for nostalgy. Also, I keep recipes I cooked and loved in there. I tried to use it for language learning but that did not quite work out.
Excited! Chronic illness/disabled follower here, I love organisation and planning but wondered if you experienced/would talk about working around chronic illness, if your stoma etc effects how you work? I can feel productivity and organisation isn't for me, but I am a very organised and productive person, alongside being disabled! Just don't see it talked about much
My stoma doesn’t really affect the way I work. My main experience with this was when I was recovering from surgery but I honestly don’t really remember those several months... 😂 Jessica Kellgren-Fozard has some great videos about disability/chronic illness and pressure to be productive!
YES! notion is great (I do think it's too slow tho as well), definitely with a learning curve, but so useful now! I have all my uni class notes in it 😁
Just got Notion because of this video. I’ve been looking for a streamline database sort of system, particularly for stockpiling ideas for music I’m creating, because phone notes aren’t cutting it 😂
I use Notion and it was excellent to see your tour and someone ACTUALLY USING THE DIFFERENT VIEWS EFFECTIVELY. Do you use the browser extension to pull info in from the web? This is one of the areas that I'd like to see improvement. For me, thinking of it as nesting documents has been helpful in terms of breaking the program into useful tools and getting perspective on how notes within notes can be a useful way to manage ideas and projects. Thank you!
at the moment I'm doing 'introduction to psychology' course by yale university and enjoying it immensely, thank you for another recommendation, I'll check the well-being one out as well!
I’ve been using notion so much recently. At this point I feel as if I have to track everything and make lists on litterly everything. It gives me a weird sense of control. 🤭🌚
I completed the Yale course (weirdly they just emailed as I wrote that 🧐) on well-being because I heard you mention it last year and it was amazing. Like you, I fell like it really helped me get through shielding for so long and refocused me on the important things. Plus I loved doing the quizzes too! 👩🏻🏫📖😂
I'd be curious to know how you use Todosit in tandem with Notion. Like do you still even use Todosit? If so what do you use Todosit for? Why not do everything in Notion? etc. Love these types of vids!
I do still use ToDoist - it's where I dump ALL my todos/tasks however big or small. It functions so perfectly as a to do list but Notion doesn't really have something like built in - you have to create it. And I use Notion more for project management rather than all the todos! Thomas Frank has a whole video about creating a to do list/task management template in Notion, I checked it out but waaaaaay too complicated for me 😂
I'm currently looking for better online organisation tool (so far I do a mix of docs and spredsheets, plus a phisical notebook), I need to look closer at this notion thing.
Yayyy you made it 🌻 I use notion but struggling to be consistent with things like habit tracker & gratitude journal! How do you stay accountable to complete it daily? Loved the vid x
The science of well-being course helped me stay accountable for the first month as it was for an “assignment” and then after that it’s now just a habit. I’ll be going to bed and I body will remember ‘oooh haven’t done my gratitude today’ and I’ll quickly do it before bed
me every time i watch a notion tour and see all the complicated stuff people do with their databases: 👁👄👁 i’ve been using it for a year now and i still have no idea how to do half of the things you just showed
I was using a mixture of asana, Evernote and google sheets before this and I switched to Notion because I was able to consolidate all 3 into one place!
More Hannah Hmm. I started using asana because it was the first app I heard about. I like that there are more features in notion, but I never really got past asana’s learning curve after 5-ish months. 😬
That's exactly what I did, but I enjoyed it so much and I don't regret it haha. I just put every list I could think of on there, it's nice to have them all aesthetically pleasing and in one place
Do I know what notion is? No
Do I plan on ever using this? No
Am I still watching? Yes
This is me
Same.
I haven't quite figured out how it fits into my life quite yet.
yeah it is certainly overwhelming! I think if there are no obvious things that you think you would use Notion for there is no point in forcing it!
yeah the Notion maintenence and TLC is real!
The learning curve was so real, and building it so customized to me took months, honestly, but now it is a hub and I am capturing ideas better than anything I've tried before! I love seeing how you are collaborating on it so effectively with those databases and process guides! Thanks for making this
I LOVE NOTION TOURS YESSSS. Loved the setup!
started my undergraduate degree using Notion and it has saved all of my final projects for the year to have my notes so organised
That is genius! Stealing this for when I get to that point!
three minutes ago someone at work told me what Notion is! so this is super helpful
Hannah: Is this interesting??
Me: YES!!! I now have so many ideas on how I could use this!
Kayla!!! Yes my fellow sex & productivity nerd hybrid!!
I just got notion the other day and this has been my favourite types of videos the last week it's like you're reading my mind
There are SO many of these videos on TH-cam 😂 some Notion set ups that I saw felt way too look over function for me but helped me realise what I needed and didn’t need!

That toned yellow goes well wt orange, pastell and sharp colours are contrasts. Wt neutral pants, you'll have a fresh outfit.

I've heard of Notion but this is the first tour I've watched. Finally feel like I understand what people are talking about.
I know this is two years old but I'm starting a new, work-from-home position and am trolling through all of Hannah's productivity videos to get me organized!
Okay, that’s it, you’ve converted me! Going to start setting up my Notion today 🙌🏻
Ooooooh thank you for this! Notion is one I've tried to use for ages and really struggled with, even though it's something I know would be helpful.
Yes, "Take a Hint, Dani Brown" is definitely a good one for reading motivation!

Now this is what I want when I need a video about being productive to watch while I'm procrastinating!! Thanks Hannah 💛 I love Notion!! :)
Lol I basically watch productivity TH-cam when I’m procrastinating too 😂
Im constantly redesigning my notion but its literally the best tool ive ever used
Pausing in the middle of this to say: I found out about First Aid Kit from you and they have become one of my favorite bands so I would LOVE to see that video!!
I've been using Notion to track the d&d campaign I'm running, which it is absolutely GAMECHANGING for omg

I also took that Yale class! It was SO helpful during early COVID lockdown - have carried the practices it taught into this year as well
I have never heard of Notion, but I need it now!
I really just use notion as a running task list. I haven't felt like taking the time to fill out the calendar yet, but probably next semester. I like that I can just add stuff to my task list and not have to find random post it notes I dropped a week ago. :P
Wow! I've been waiting for this video for months! I didn't understand how you didn't get to try notion. Thanks!!!
Just saw the title and already was excited!! Welcome to the notion family, can't wait to see how you use it :)
Arrghh I've been leaning towards using Notion for a while now. I'm not self-employed or running a business or anything, so I've not been sure if I needed it.
I had been using Trello for to-do lists, but I'm finding it lacks something.

I literally started using Notion today and then you produce this video! Absolutely love it!
Great timing!
You sure are an organized and tidy person.
I've never heard of that app.
You have no idea how stoked I am about this 😍 will watch later!
Why do I keep watching Notion tours when I don't even use it properly and don't plan on it? 😂 I put in a bunch of my old notes from school and uni that were piling on Google Keep, basically to just store them there for nostalgy. Otter is an app where you can import audio and it makes a transcript. Perfect for your podcast.
Ohhh I really liked this video, I might want to try it myself now!
Would love to see you try a bullet journal for a month!

Just got Notion because of this video. I’ve been looking for a streamline database sort of system, particularly for stockpiling ideas for music I’m creating, because phone notes aren’t cutting it 😂
Never heard of notion so you def kind of jumped in there but it was neat. I like organization content even if I'm not likely to use it
I use Notion and it was excellent to see your tour and someone ACTUALLY USING THE DIFFERENT VIEWS EFFECTIVELY. Do you use the browser extension to pull info in from the web? Oooooh this is absolutely lovely!!!
I love notion! Looking forward to watching this
I think notion is a bit hard for me but maybe I'll try 😅
Thank you so much for sharing the Yale course, I've just started it and I'm loving it 😍
This was SUPER interesting and I think I've been converted. Gonna set up Notion this weekend :D
I have followed for a while and just heard about notion. Thanks a lot I was a bit confused but this helped a lot!
It is a tad confusing.
I’ve been using notion so much recently. At this point I feel as if I have to track everything and make lists on litterly everything. It gives me a weird sense of control. 🤭🌚
I completed the Yale course (weirdly they just emailed as I wrote that 🧐) on well-being because I heard you mention it last year and it was amazing. ooooh i’m very new to notion this was very interesting!!
I really want to try this out now! I feel like mine would be extremely basic though 😅 but I wonder if I could make it work for novel planning 🤔
You could probably make it work for anything! Just play around and try and find a way to make it mould to how your brain works/organises things!
I'm currently looking for better online organisation tool (so far I do a mix of docs and spredsheets, plus a phisical notebook), I need to look closer at this notion thing.
im currently using notion for my school notes bc A levels suck and this means i can be a bit more organised
Yayyy you made it 🌻 I use notion but struggling to be consistent with things like habit tracker & gratitude journal! How do you stay accountable to complete it daily? Loved the vid x

@@morehannah ahhh amazing! Definitely going to check the course out. Thank you! 😌
🌟
i was trying to figure out how this was an april fools joke for so long
Hahaha I forgot this was going out 1st April 😂
so excited for this :)
me every time i watch a notion tour and see all the complicated stuff people do with their databases: 👁👄👁
i’ve been using it for a year now and i still have no idea how to do half of the things you just showed
What template do you use for your Gratitude journal ?
I have no need for this program, but I want it?
Is the slowness with the app part? it drove me nuts too! I found it loads so much better in browser!!
Bit of both but yeah I do think the app is a bit slower!
Do you still feel like the more Hannah channel has less expectations and pressure like you intended when you made it?
Yeah! I keep the expectation of a Thursday upload just because I work well to deadlines but I’m less stressed about results on this channel
You’re an amazingly organised and creative person. Very impressive, we’re you always this organised as a youngster?
Yup very much always been like this
How did you decide to use Notion vs Asana vs Trello vs a different project management app?
I was using a mixture of asana, Evernote and google sheets before this and I switched to Notion because I was able to consolidate all 3 into one place!
More Hannah Hmm. I started using asana because it was the first app I heard about. I like that there are more features in notion, but I never really got past asana’s learning curve after 5-ish months. 😬
💛💛💛
Notion seems very intimidating and I think it would take me too much time because I would create useless things just for the satisfaction :(
That's exactly what I did, but I enjoyed it so much and I don't regret it haha. I just put every list I could think of on there, it's nice to have them all aesthetically pleasing and in one place
👍
I love the look of notion but it seems very complicated 😂 anyone ever plan to be organised and love the idea of it...and it just doesn't happen 😂
I think this is very common lol 😂
@@morehannah one I will get this organisation thing down! 😁😂
I love a good notion cult, can i get a toggle? (Amen in notion language)
I like Milanote better :)
