Love these lite cars of the 50s and ford pops ,and all other common cars of the time ,l remember seeing them in my childhood of the 60s ,the smell of them and the noise they make ,they had character ,as l was watching this video l was thinking about songs on pirate radio ,Keith west excerpt from a teenage opera ,the herd ,a whiter shade of pale and the flower children who use to paint these cars in psycadelic colours .
I'm only 28 so unfortunately I never experienced life when these cars were the norm around the streets, but while slow they are incredibly characterful and always put a smile on my face while driving. Far more interesting that today's cars, and best of all, is all the smiles and waves I get while driving by, even have strangers just walk up and talk to me about my little A35, but its great that happens.
Hi bud, I've just bought a 58 a35 wondering if you could help, 2 issues, 1st is car starts and ticks over fine but when you rev it then it dies down and cuts out, 2nd is now and again when you put it in gear the clutch makes a noise but car hasn't been drove for a couple of years
@@loughwindow9015 Hi, hmm i;m no expert mechanic but with the engine cutting out, I would say that possibly a dirty/gunked up carb, or a possible fuel issue which could relate to the carb. Clutch problem sounds very similar to what I had, which is a worn out gearbox, it would crunch into gear and eventually the gearbox just gave up and refused to go into gear. Is there a great difficulty changing gear?
@@lazydriver2710 I think it might of been a bit of dirt on the clutch as it's fine now, does whine in 1st and crunch into 2nd but goes in all gears easily, I just set off in 2nd and jobs a good un
I've been connected with the A35 since 1960 & it's still family owned, i have 2 A30's, A35 Saloon & A35 Van
