‪@gordofromearth‬ built the most insane school bus conversion. His intent was to create a highly functioning, multi-purpose vehicle and it's still a work in progress. What he ended up with is a massive roof deck for carrying materials, a sci fi themed/tech packed interior, a modular bed system, and perhaps most exciting is his giant deployable shop sitting on the rear flatbed. Gordo engineered a crane where he manually lifts two giant tool containers/worktops all fabricated and designed by him to serve his specific needs. With his shop he has the tools, welders, and materials to fabricate possibly anything. Because the bus gives some heavy cyberpunk post-apocalyptic vibes I like to think that if necessary Gordo could rebuild society with just his bus which is why in the first tour of his bus I called it the "End of the World Rig" and hey, some people enjoyed that quite a bit. Job done.

Gordo, the unedited edition!! Justin, thanks for posting this and showing the whole version of what you got to experience meeting him and learning about his bus. The short version was pretty impressive, but now seeing this, Gordo is even more impressive then before. This dude has some crazy wild talents to do a lot of different projects. Thanks for introducing him to us!! Great work on this one!!

This is like the Leatherman of survival vehicles. Its got a tool for almost anything. No awards for beauty/comfort here. But utility/preparedness for almost any situation... This bus is ready to take it on. It amazes me how well he used his space for storage in mind with many uses ready and accessible, just like a Leatherman. He will definitely be able to handle a lot being thrown at him. Unlike most busses you see now that just look nice and comfortable and a comfy place to live. This bus has room to live, but its got so much more to help you truly LIVE. It takes a brilliant mind to create such a machine. Great work, Gordo.

This is the only skoolie tour where I have seen any kind of metal cabinetry that was actually built in. I would love to know more about why he made that choice. I love this build.

Most of the time I can't even make a sandwich. But this guy made a whole ass workshop/house in a bus. I can't even imagine all the knowledge in this guys brain. Let alone how much time and money sunk into it. Feeling very simple in comparison but keen to see what kind of content he decides to make.

This is beautiful. The level of detail and thoughtfulness. The logo indeed completes it. The organization of the shop supplies is outstanding. And the logo is everywhere. I love it.

Just watched the original tour and immediately wanted more details about the build and now I found this, I am actually in heaven. This build is so cool and gives me so many ideas and I just love how your brain works, not many people would be able to come up with all these ideas and think of combining them. The windows showcasing the wiring and electrical components are amazing

This makes me not care about absolutely anything I’ve seen before. This is the ultimate, what I’ve been looking for. Practical!! I get so tired of looking at these yuppies and their million dollar vans. I really love how well rounded his knowledge and interests seems to be. I wish he made content, I would love to hear him speak on different topics that he’s into! Thanks for this really well done video as well, I really enjoyed it!!

    Great rig!
If you’re looking for a galley sink - a few friendly tips:
I’d look up work station sink” (they come with slide able kitchen accessories) a cutting board with containers (get one custom made and use it as a sink cover to create more galley space, plus this also comes with meal prep utilities) an item called “Prepdeck” a quick and easy way for meal prep,
If you are willing to think abt maybe creating floor pits to maximize the space, I’d say look at both Sobro Coffee Table and Sobro Side tables.
To create more space, I’d look into slide outs that run the full width of the vehicle, I’d look into full length slide outs on the back, and I’d look into slide outs within a slide out, I’d look at “CMC Caravans” for examples of this.
I’d also look into a “Murphy door” concept if you need more space.
You could also add telescoping rods that hang off of the edge of the roof and hang swing chairs.
If you are interested in floor pits, I’d look into “smart beds” and “smart sectionals” from Jubilee furniture.
The backs of sofas and chairs can be converted into desk space, stairs can be converted into storage space.
For further space saving, I’d recommend curbed furniture, another concept is a “Murphy wall desk” and a “Murphy Bed”
If you are interested in “Murphy beds”
I’d look into wall bunk beds (if you are interested in this concept for your tent area you could create wall niches and put them on two slide outs, one to retrieve them and bring them forward for usage, the other slide out could push them beyond the back deck - you could also convert these to transitional benches)
Locker room Murphy bed, a library Murphy bed with sliding panels (if this interests you, you could also add two arm chairs in front and create a bookshelf within their bodies to extend “library space” - also the other cool thing you can do if you do go for the library Murphy bed with slide outs - you can create an entertainment center literally on the back or underside of the bed frame)
You could also do window shades that double as projector screens. You could also put a pull down double sided projector at the very edge of the vehicle when your tent is up and your hanging out.
If you are willing to reimagine the doors on the back - or even the sides - make it a four door system - like when you open up a box type package and then treat the ones on the sides like Murphy doors, the bottom - a deck - and the top, you can gut and put a drop down shower, or a drop down tent.
For kitchen cabinetry or even bathroom, I’d look into a curved four sided ones and the stick them on a lazy Suzan. If you are interested in making a pass through on the outer shell where you keep the tally, you could put both the kitchen cabinetry and the lazy Susan where it sits on a slide out so you can access it from the outside. You could also create slits in the upper part of any cabinetry surface for a pullout swivel table.
If this concept interests you, on the exterior of the cockpit area on both the passenger side and drivers side you can do the same, create a slit for a pullout table with swing away bar stools.
For further inspiration I’d look at these RVs on TH-cam:
Draper Land ark - (a pull down balcony)
Lehel by Alexander’s (in one video - there is a removable podium on the back)
Volkner - (solar panels in between plates of glass in order to create fencing for decks,
Living vehicle - (solar panel awnings - although it may work better with paneled glass holding them together.
Dekpod (swing out elements for additional space)
    Romotow - (revolving elements)
Game Changer Toy Hauler - (storage. If you are interested in taking this concept a step further, and are interagency in floor pits you could also create floor slots to lower unused furnishings once they are up against the wall)
Brinkley (many many neat concepts and ideas)
    :)

Hey Gordo from Earth very impressive very organized. I live in upstate New York as well and I am very interested in your mother’s sewing abilities. I have a design for a backpack that I think would be amazing. I am an avid outdoorsman and I enjoy bush crafting, and I am probably just as anal about my pack and my gear as you are with your bus lol, give a shout out if she would be interested or you in that design and maybe we can talk further. thanks man I enjoyed the video!!!
