I would love to have another grail unit as forma soul, cause then I could easily +10 it. I would love to build NY Laegjarn or Bride Marth. Maybe even Wallhart. But they haven't released more grail units as formas.

Tokyo Mirage units are kinda cool and I don't have Kiria and Eleonora ... but it was one the few Forma Events where I didn't buy any unit. Wasn't that active ... so didn't get the crazy skills and I just had the feeling that it's not worth it. But as long as there are just these 5x Tokyo Mirage units, you might get another chance at her as a Forma after it cycled a full time.
Chose her as well because she's so sweet and I didn't own her before while I already had enough Laegjarns, 3x Sylgr and 3x Egg Veronicas ... so it was an easy choice for me. RNGesus is giving me most new units, sometimes even multiple times. I don't think I will use her that much (tho I'm playing AR), but my heart (and my collection) said yes.
It seems the HoF units being one of each color was not entirely accurate. The Valentine's Radiant Dawn HoF featured 2 green units, and the Awakening one also featured 2 greens. Other than that, as a mostly F2P player this guides really helps. As for what units I'd like as a HoF lineup would be Gerik's Mercenaries, but instead of base Marisa it's S!Marisa. It would not only be hilarious, but help my merge projects!
The upcoming one with Shadow Dragon units has two blues as well: Est and Catria are both blue. So yeah, it's not guaranteed to be one of each color, but I guess they wanted to stay thematic by running the Whitewings together this time.
So far there's always been red/blue/green units in HoF, then the last one can either be colorless or double-up on one of the primary trio. It makes sense for gameplay to always have the full triangle covered, so I would expect this to continue in the future.
Yup not bad idea! But Like I said in the video with just SF he can tear shit up but that's just 1 skill that we might even get on Ephemera. A well supported Bector even at +1 merge can shred things. Sure, save would be good but do you "need" it is the question. Compared to that, Brunnya, Kronya, Norne etc who actually NEED the premium fodder to function would be much better than bector who at worst needs 1 premium skill and most maybe like 2. We are talking about Free Forma soul here so I think those carries will be more worth it IMO
As much as I don't play Aether Raids and such, I think i'll still use my Forma Soul on Bridal Fjorm, since I haven't gotten her at all since launch. Could be a regretful move but I personally wanted her since she came out so I doubt it. Nonetheless, wonderful video, PM1! Keep making amazing content for all of us!
Trust me you will not. Even outside of AR she still has a big Atk and Spd and is the original user of Ground Orders, wich is always appreciated. I already have one that I use on Light seasons but I want another for the Anima seasons.
One thing to note with point 17. colour balance and units that can appear, this next upcoming HoF will have 2 blue units, S!Catria and S!Est who are both blue tomes, so there may be some HoF that are not completely colour balanced.

As an owner of a Fallen Berkut, I can say you won’t be very disappointed. He’s an excellent magic tank with workable defenses too. Just slap QR into his B skill or sacred seal slot and he does wonders.

Thank for explaining this process for those who don't usually use Forma Souls. I've used 3 before today, and I just wanna vouch for reason 13, cause I spent the last week of Hall of Forms looking for Pledged Blade or Swift Sparrow 3 for my Laegjarn, and ended up settling with Bellringer+ Speed refine, and Life and Death 4. I also lucked out with Bridal Fjorm getting Rescue+, but since i didnt get odd recovery, i decided against using another Forma for her.
Hi PM1! I was the one you replied to on twitter with your flying Nino about why we should take the premium skills over the more common ones in spite of synergism. I really learned a lot here about forma souls. I didn't know you couldn't fodder them for skills lol and I honestly thought you kept the merges too! not using my forma soul anytime soon since as an f2p player this is most probably gonna be the only one I get for the rest of my time playing this game. Hoping for a really good unit that I like in the upcoming Hall of Forms! I'm very happy with the Laegjarn that I ended up with. ATK/DEF Unity, Wyvern Flight and SPD/DEF Rein. I already have given her DC and Guard Bearing so I've got so many build options. Getting the Forma Soul item right now was so lucky for me. Laegjarn is my fave.

Second comment because I wanted to finish the video first ( I hope that this helps please the YT algorithm at the very least). While it's true that you don't want to buy a forma with it's prf skills since they're going to have them anyway it could still be a good idea to select them soon so they don't keep appearing. Recently I saw a post on Reddit where someone was complaining that the prf weapon of Laegjarn I think, kept appearing and so he couldn't get the weapon he wanted on her. Formas have a high ish chance of giving you their prfs as an option to pick for the first kill, so if you don't take them they will keep on popping again and again, meaning you technically have less chances of seeing that weapon or skill you want so much. So picking them soon could be a good idea if you're already sure on what specific skills you want in your formas. This could apply to Mininerva and her weapon and A skill so you should keep that in mind if you want her.
They already released some really good Formas before (for all kind of content): Leif, Edelgard, Brave Lucina, Brave Lyn ... Or some less popular units with a worse base kit, but easy merges like all the Grail Units they offered as a Forma.
*The Hall of Forms has been updated* Starting with the first new one of 2022, when completing floor 13 and higher, TWO skill options will appear for each slot when shaping! Also those skills will have a minimum 'cost' of 240 SP.

This may be one of the most useful videos for the FEH community, I hope it gets a lot of views. I think I'm saving my Forma Soul in case V!Rudolf or Ced appear in HoF, as they are characters that I love and have a decent shot of appearing in the FE2 and FE4 HoF, especially Ced as there are only 2 or 3 options left for FE4's green color.

I’d recently gotten back into the game by happenstance around the anniversary. So, I didn’t really know what a forma soul was, I just knew I had one, and I could use it. So I blew it on fell vessel robin female. A grey dragonstone unit. I had dragon skin 2 on her (not too bad), and cancel affinity 3 😭. I’ve managed to get some use out of her cause I also slapped on guidance 4, so I can move my armored units around, but still it will haunt me forever.

12:43 A bit of an update since the Tokyo Mirage Sessions Hall of forms is getting a rerun as of posting this (along with many other reruns decided by the twitter polls in the future). If you get a forma unit from the rerun while you already have the original forma unit, you can merge the forma units into each other.

I used my free forma on Bride Fjorm. Despite all the hype she’s getting and people pushing to use it on her, I got it because she’s legitimately my favorite OC and I love her character especially after playing the Dragalia Lost event. It just so happens she also has a few meta implications😅Thanks for the vid PM1 and great content as usual! Even someone who buys formas here and there and has quite a few forma units at this point, this was still a great listen!
All great advice! I do a lot of AR, but while I do like Fjorm and would use her a lot, I don't think she would do much for my Astra offense. On the other hand, I could theoretically get Laegjarn up to +4 with the Forma Soul, and she got as good skills from the pool as Fjorm did. I probably still won't spend it since my biggest concern is merging said character up easily (which usually limits it to the grail pool, with the exception of B!Lucina, but she doesn't need merges to do what she does best). As an aside, major kudos to your emote maker; I know I keep saying this but I love your emotes a lot.
This is obviously false now, but when the free forma soul was first datamined, some people were speculating that the next HoF would feature the top 4 most voted units from A Hero Rises.
I'm probably saving the Forma Soul for when S!Sharena comes up since I've wanted her since she first showed up (even if she's not that good of a unit) unless I get her before. She deserves more love.

One Additional tip would be Train All the units. As shown in your one Forma video IF you have trained a few units ups besides Laejaeran, you could’ve beaten a few of the maps. This last HoF woth Bridal Fjorm also for me had ALOT of Archers. 3 fliers and they would always have an Archer or 2 somewhere.

Personally, I always use Forma Souls for grail units. Maybe that's because of my own Whale Tendencies, but grail units feel like they get absolutely the best bang for their buck, saving you a ton of grails, being unable to take away boons you pulled already, and providing all the really high end skills they'll never give to a free unit. I'm really hopeful that the Valentia HoF event has Rinea.

I did what I swore I would never do and bought a Forma soul, just for Kiria. And it was worth it.

You'll probably never regret spending the forma soul on a unit you like but could never get because of bad luck.

Hi PM1! I was the one you replied to on twitter with your flying Nino about why we should take the premium skills over the more common ones in spite of synergism. I really learned a lot here about forma souls. I didn't know you couldn't fodder them for skills lol and I honestly thought you kept the merges too! not using my forma soul anytime soon since as an f2p player this is most probably gonna be the only one I get for the rest of my time playing this game. Hoping for a really good unit that I like in the upcoming Hall of Forms! I'm very happy with the Laegjarn that I ended up with. ATK/DEF Unity, Wyvern Flight and SPD/DEF Rein. I already have given her DC and Guard Bearing so I've got so many build options. Getting the Forma Soul item right now was so lucky for me. Laegjarn is my fave.

Second comment because I wanted to finish the video first ( I hope that this helps please the YT algorithm at the very least).
While it's true that you don't want to buy a forma with it's prf skills since they're going to have them anyway it could still be a good idea to select them soon so they don't keep appearing. Recently I saw a post on Reddit where someone was complaining that the prf weapon of Laegjarn I think, kept appearing and so he couldn't get the weapon he wanted on her. Formas have a high ish chance of giving you their prfs as an option to pick for the first kill, so if you don't take them they will keep on popping again and again, meaning you technically have less chances of seeing that weapon or skill you want so much. So picking them soon could be a good idea if you're already sure on what specific skills you want in your formas. This could apply to Mininerva and her weapon and A skill so you should keep that in mind if you want her.
I really hope they release a really good unit in the future
They already released some really good Formas before (for all kind of content): Leif, Edelgard, Brave Lucina, Brave Lyn ...
Or some less popular units with a worse base kit, but easy merges like all the Grail Units they offered as a Forma.
Young Minerva is going to be in the next one, she'd be a great use of a soul because she's an easy merge project.

Starting with the first new one of 2022, when completing floor 13 and higher, TWO skill options will appear for each slot when shaping! Also those skills will have a minimum 'cost' of 240 SP.

also...am i hearing a change in your voice? i can't tell if it's a difference in your audio quality or if you've been working on enunciation. either way i've been finding it much easier to hear you in this video, though i've had little difficulty in the past, even through your thick accent. regardless, there's something you did in this video that made you way easier to hear clearly and i'm living for it. or maybe i'm just crazy. idk. good work as usual tho!

I think I'm saving my Forma Soul in case V!Rudolf or Ced appear in HoF, as they are characters that I love and have a decent shot of appearing in the FE2 and FE4 HoF, especially Ced as there are only 2 or 3 options left for FE4's green color.

I’d recently gotten back into the game by happenstance around the anniversary. So, I didn’t really know what a forma soul was, I just knew I had one, and I could use it. So I blew it on fell vessel robin female. A grey dragonstone unit. I had dragon skin 2 on her (not too bad), and cancel affinity 3 😭. I’ve managed to get some use out of her cause I also slapped on guidance 4, so I can move my armored units around, but still it will haunt me forever.

12:43 A bit of an update since the Tokyo Mirage Sessions Hall of forms is getting a rerun as of posting this (along with many other reruns decided by the twitter polls in the future).
If you get a forma unit from the rerun while you already have the original forma unit, you can merge the forma units into each other.

I used my free forma on Bride Fjorm. Despite all the hype she’s getting and people pushing to use it on her, I got it because she’s legitimately my favorite OC and I love her character especially after playing the Dragalia Lost event. It just so happens she also has a few meta implications😅Thanks for the vid PM1 and great content as usual! Even someone who buys formas here and there and has quite a few forma units at this point, this was still a great listen!
Gosh, Hall of Forms is such a cool mode. I love the idea of totally customizing a build and then actually getting to keep it.
All great advice! I do a lot of AR, but while I do like Fjorm and would use her a lot, I don't think she would do much for my Astra offense. On the other hand, I could theoretically get Laegjarn up to +4 with the Forma Soul, and she got as good skills from the pool as Fjorm did. I probably still won't spend it since my biggest concern is merging said character up easily (which usually limits it to the grail pool, with the exception of B!Lucina, but she doesn't need merges to do what she does best).
As an aside, major kudos to your emote maker; I know I keep saying this but I love your emotes a lot.
This is obviously false now, but when the free forma soul was first datamined, some people were speculating that the next HoF would feature the top 4 most voted units from A Hero Rises.
I'm probably saving the Forma Soul for when S!Sharena comes up since I've wanted her since she first showed up (even if she's not that good of a unit) unless I get her before. She deserves more love.

One Additional tip would be Train All the units. As shown in your one Forma video IF you have trained a few units ups besides Laejaeran, you could’ve beaten a few of the maps. This last HoF woth Bridal Fjorm also for me had ALOT of Archers. 3 fliers and they would always have an Archer or 2 somewhere.
I wanted Leagjarn to have good skills. Instead everyone gets amazing build expect her. Especially my Ylgr.

Personally, I always use Forma Souls for grail units. Maybe that's because of my own Whale Tendencies, but grail units feel like they get absolutely the best bang for their buck, saving you a ton of grails, being unable to take away boons you pulled already, and providing all the really high end skills they'll never give to a free unit. I'm really hopeful that the Valentia HoF event has Rinea.
