It's quite a unique storyline half way through. The first half is hilarious if crammed full of familiar tropes. But then it goes off in an unexpected direction. I'm a difficult person to surprise but this one managed to keep me wondering. It takes the soul migration story and does something a bit different. That part of the story has Someday One Day resonances. Everyone's looking for that right person. That Mr or Miss Right. That holy grail. But maybe it's far more important to BE that right person. It's something the ML also had to learn.

However, midway through the story, the man's relatives torture the first woman to the brink of death, and from then on, the plot devolves into a ridiculous and clichéd storyline.👎😤

This is actually quite funny and has some surprising comic twists. The female lead is sucked into the novel she's been reading and becomes the main character, so she has to improvise as the story unfolds. She's confident, funny, intelligent, and has a lot of self-respect, so she doesn't put up with being insulted, kidnapped, drugged, and pushed around. However, the story gets dark half way through when she's violently beaten by her mother-in-law until she's unconscious, while her husband stands by and does nothing--like a spineless wimp. Later his mother says "Oops! I was mistaken!" which is supposed to make it okay? I stopped enjoying it because of that scene. Too bad, because up until then it was a fun comedy.
