Julie, most of the antique tatting, pull work, embroidery, etc on the decorative pillow cases was the way a young woman displayed her handiwork and skill and were part of her trousseau. As the eldest daughter in my family, I am honoured to have examples of 4 generations of such fabric art in my care. It's always nice to see other people appreciate it for the craft that it is. I just love old house stuff. Not just antiques, anything really. I love the idea of people using something from generations or even hundreds of years ago, especially kitchen items like bowls, pots, plates etc, which you know were used every day. They have such a story to tell, and honestly they just have a different feel/energy. If I lived near a market like that, oh goodness I'd be in trouble LOL. I'd love to live somewhere with a very long history, but I'd really have to give myself a budget!

What you probably put on the top of the armor , I remember they also used in the dinner room over a furniture so you can wash your hands before eating. Or they put it in the bathroom.
I think you can place both chairs at the window with a tiny table under the window so you can have your coffee in the morning and read the paper or listen to the radio.....

It is easy to hang pictures, I am 75 and can do it perfectly by myself. Just measure and put the screw or nail in at an angle so it doesn't pull out and hang the picture.
to "press" the curtain very easily: fill hot water in a spray bottle and spray it on the hanging curtain. pull gently and let it dry. no wrinkles in no time.
@@AmericanViscountess - I wanted to comment (and thank you again) regarding the fabulous advice you gave about learning Italian in a previous video. My wife and I purchased a piccola casa in Montepulciano last December and are truly enjoying the process of learning to speak and understand Italian together, following your recommendations. We really do find that the combination of an online tutor, a teaching app, reading simple Italian stories, watching videos (with and without subtitles) have all combined to get us off to a good start. We do find that the grammar is quite challenging for us as Americans, but also get great joy when the penny drops and we realize that we've mastered the latest grammar obstacle. I totally get the nervousness about speaking, but I suppose it's the only way to improve. Most of the Italians we've met in our little village have been super patient and kindly correct our mistakes. In any case, please keep up all your wonderful videos from England and Italy...
