Some good advice, but I would say that don't just focus on your weaker subjects, it isn't neccesarily wise to prioritise your weakest subjects for study (but also don't just focus on one or two subjects). The reality is most students sit 7 subjects, but only 6 count, so your worst subject is going to be dropped, thus getting an extra few per cent in that isn't going to help, whereas doing well in your stronger subjects may be a smarter way to manage your time. Doing as well as possible in subjects that may require less effort to see an improvement may be more efficient than sinking loads of time into one where despite all the effort you may still struggle. But an excellent video with some really good advice.
Well by that tip I was referring to your weakest subject if you are counting it, obviously not if it’s like OL Irish and you know it’s your worst. Aside from that I disagree because now is the time to bring up your weaker ones, closer to the exams is when I would say people should be doing what you said and focusing on strong ones. If you focus on strong ones too early the weak ones will be far weaker and drag you down. Just my opinion though, each to their own👍
Say if you don't have notes on the topics, would you recommend just to learn key points from the book and understand the basic concept and then move on to exam papers this time of year? Also do you have any tips on learning the aistes for Irish quickly? my teacher happened to lose my aistes and I'm limited for time to rewrite and learn them 😞thanks for the tips as welll
If you feel like you don’t know enough to try the exam Q’s yet than yes start with key points from the book. I actually have a video on learning essays off by heart if you scroll down a bit in my channel:)
I did my leave cert in 2022 and I got this in my recommendations and it brought me back to a very dark place Nothing against the video tho, more against the Irish education system
If they are out of line with how you have been doing for the last year and a half then I would say no, like if you’ve been getting consistent H4s and suddenly get a high H1 it wouldn’t change their mind about you being a H3/4 student to a H1. Also they are leaked sometimes and people can cheat so they are tolld not to rely on them as accurate
