New Mosque Eminönü/İstanbul ‐------------Yeni Cami Eminönü/İstanbul

Construction of New Mosque and Complex were started by Valide Safiye Sultan (Mother of Sultan Mehmed 3). The soft ground and death of architect caused to left the construction unfinished. After years new Quin Mother Turhan Sultan (mother of Sultan Mehmed 4.) had it completed between 1660-1665. The Spice Bazaar was built at the same period to supply maintenance to the Mosque. Yeni Cami ve külliyesi inşaatı, Sultan III. Mehmet’in annesi Valide Safiye Sultan tarafından 1597'de başlatılır. Zeminin yumuşak olması ve mimarın vefatı inşaatın yarım bırakılmasına sebep olur. 1660 yılında Sultan 4,Mehmed'in annesi Turhan Sultan tarafından yeniden yaptırılır. Caminin bakımına gelir sağlaması için yanına Mısır Çarşısı yaptırılmıştır
