Thank you for the video! I was looking for something to find out how the motor should normally operate. And this video helped! When I supply 12v with a 3amps capable adapter, my motor barely moves. So it looks like a a bad motor
Well, I was a bit wrong with my diagnosis. The motor spins like a hurricane when connected to the car battery. Looks like it needs more current capacity than a 12v/3amp adapter. Now what else could be bad ? May be the force sensor?
Hello great video. Only question on step one after undoing the screws how to you pry the lid off the actuator box please? You didnt show as mine wont come off not even with strength. Is it sealed and glued on? Any comments would be appreciated by anyone. Thank you
Hi my bmw 5gt making big noise when you press parking brake, find out that driver side cable broken, how do you think what could be issue? Is it sensor or relay?thanks
After change the motor I0ve still "Parking Brake lights ON " I've also reprogramming from BMW (official) .... still yellow lights ON .... any suggestions to solve the problem ... Please let me know
I have Renault Scenic 2007. After calibration I got fault code "Brake cables incorrectly fitted; detection of incorrect brake cable assembly" Even though I haven't touched the cables, all the time I receive this fault code and I can't clear it. I have tried with Can Clip, Delphi, WOW Wurth, non of these will delete the fault code. As I know brake cables should be connected to the calipers while calibrating. To be honest, I haven't connected battery charger while calibrating the parking brake. Could be that the issue? I'm running out of ideas. By the way parking brake works just fine, but I can't get rid of this fault code. I will be very thankful if you can shed some light upon this. Best regards.

Check the pins on the motor where the negative lead attaches, they have a nasty habit of breaking off. I have replaced 2 with the same problem.

Yes it’s glued on
Prying it will help to open

How do you know if it's just the motor that's gone bad?
You good man
