I'm growing seascape strawberries and this summer will be their 4th growing season...how many times can we divide and replant them? or do we toss old strawberry plants?
Hello I really am enjoying your strawberry videos thank you I am learning a lot. I do have one question ( well for now😁) I planted barefoot strawberries in late March and mid April . I noticed that some of the planting containers are not draining well and the soil is very wet, the days of rain haven’t helped. So my question is can I transplant to a new location only 2 months after planting with better drainage and maybe better soil? Thank you
Yes you can transplant. Trim off all but 2 leaves in the center to balance out the plant before you transplant. This will help the plant with transplant shock.
Well shucks, I wanted to separate my new strawberry plants tonight but I guess I'll be waiting until October 😥😭 So thank you so much for the video! You saved some plants' lives tonight! 😊
I love in Michigan and split my plant a couple of days ago when it was cool and it stayed cool for a few days and now they are looking droppy. Can I do anything?@@TheLivingFarmPaonia
Literally in the same boat😂 noticed all six of my plants have two crowns was going to split them all within the next couple of weeks as no fruit show for the first year
Thanks for the straightforward style without a glut of useless yammering.
You are welcome! Thanks for watching! I work hard to keep it simple.
Gardener's gold! These are the kinds of things that take a lifetime to learn. Thank you so very much!
Thanks for watching!!!
I need to do this in early spring.
What zone are you in?
@@TheLivingFarmPaonia 6B I didn't get to it this fall so I hope to transplant them in March/April depending on the weather.

We have been growing and dividing our plants for about 15 years and they just keep going!
Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
I paused the video twice thinking a cat was meowing outside and each time it stopped 😂
I do have 3 cats and you probably heard one.
What about Royal Sovereign strawberries?
