Every performer has their own style, their own singing techniques and interpretations. Each listener can have their own favorites. But what's the use of making comparison based on your plain personal preference? Stig Rossen is in the leading league with his peers from West End and Broadway who admire his talent. And I enjoy his rendition of Gethsemane no less than a few other great deliveries out there.
this has got to be my favorite version, apart from the falsetto kings like balsamo and neeley, this one beats the crap out of the rest. 5 stars, completely original rentdition. class
I like how choppy this is in the beginning... It's as if Jesus is thinking as the words are emerging... THEN comes the frustration, anger, fear, sadness. Biblical? Absolutely not. A great version of a powerful song? Absolutely!! Stig is amazing!
I love Stig Rossen(he is after all danish, just like myself) but this is just not good enough in my opinion. Try Michael Ball's version instead - it's far more powerfull and emotional.
You cannot do it all wel Stig, Phantom was very good, the rest you are fa below the greatests. And please choose better your costume, they amke you even bigger thn you are
he has a very choppy style of singing. it have no line to it as a result. personally i find it annoying, kinda like Colm Wilkenson's style, but with core to the sound.
en af de sange han bare har nailet virkeligt godt. Hans version på cden konserten er bygget på er den bedste jeg har fundet endnu.
Jeg elsker den mands stemme, han synger helt fantastisk!
Great job! Right up there with the best of them.....and Ive heard them all.
Love this version.
Du er grunden til jeg er stolt over at være dansk!
Amazing!
Very very impressive...!!
...superb Stig...really, such a great voice/phrasing/performance/vocal range...I hope you’re keeping well 😎
Thanks, Rob 😁
For fanden hvor er han god !!!!

@jalidav1 In his older years too. The man still has it.

@Nastrofereth good shout, balsamo owns gethsemane. Ted Neeley too in his younger years
what key is this in?
Synes Stig er lidt for "smør-agtig" til den her sang. Jeg synes original indspilningen fra 70'erne er meget sejere.

Det var endu bedre at side på foreste række til den koncert, men puh der var varmt og Stig må havde tabt et par kg i væske....

I think my favourite version is Peter Johannson.
All respect for Stig Rossen... But this song is not fit for his voice... Steve Balsamo is kicking fucking ass in it, and is my ultimate favorite...
Listen to UK Singer MICHAEL BALL sing this Song.. The best!
