In my opinion, dream had put others through torture and manipulation right? Dream had the option to give the revival book or share his knowledge with quackity and he wouldnt be tortured on a daily basis. So, it basically was his choice to be tortured and plus, quackity was just taking revenge on behalf of Tommy,'s. You don't remember the part when everyone grieved Tommy's death? Yeah, that's when quackity and Sam took action. Although I don't agree with quackity 's actions, this one was needed for the revival book. And no I'm not going to show "sympathy" for a main villain.
