I never thought about a pocket size before but now after watching this video, the size really appeals to me. I do find that the more space I have to write, the more I will try to fill up the blank space. This streamlined approach is very nice. Very thorough. Thanks!
This is brilliant! I too am not a fan of the longer pages in a personal size but the pocket size pages are too small. I'm currently using a faux dori I made in field notes size with moleskine cahiers inside. I love the set up but hate that i can't move things around like i could when i was in a binder. I also like having a bound planner so keeping the moleskine calender bound in the binder is perfect. I think you've solved my dilemma. One question though, did you just line up a piece of pocket sized paper with the moleskine and then mark your holes? I'm assuming there's a certain distance the holes must be punched from the spine so that the book opens fully even though its intact. Thanks so much!!
Very interesting, Kent. I've been contemplating going to something much smaller, as we've discussed before. I have minis, the M2 you helped me purchase, a couple of different vintage pockets... but the A5 is working SO well for me I'm reluctant to change... but I really want an organizer I can really carry everywhere with me. Excellent, thought-provoking video!
Hey Kent! I love all your videos. I am currently using a finsbury pocket in red and I love how your calendar for your monthly. You mentioned that you printed this out. Did you make it on your own? If you dont already have a video on it, would you consider making one on how you print it out like that and have it folded? Loving how you set this up!
Hi. I doubt you're using this system anymore, but just in case for other viewers.... in regards to the weekend space being too small, what I do is continue the line above the weekend to the page on the right and then use the bottom of the left page for saturday and the bottom of the right page for Sunday. Hope that helps someone :)
I've seen that many giry videos, it's so refreshing to see a man doing these and an Australian at that. Plum_mashable is the only other planner person that I'm subscribed to. She's cool, she focuses mostly on Kikki K and girly stuff, which is no good to me in a professional setting and I think a guys style would be more appropriate. Thank you.
Sssaaaayyyy wwwhhhaaat. I'm laughing before you mentioned we would be with this post. I use my pocket FF(I switch them out) as my calendars, phone#s, log ons, addresses, etc. My faux-dori is my brain dump write it on a list goes with me everywhere book. I carry both of them with me to work (personal use only, I have a Daytimer on my desk at work that never leaves). The pocket Malden is so cute. Too bad it cost more than the A5 Malden I ordered when it was on sale on amazon.

Great idea to add the Moleskine notebooks. Thinking of selling my pocket ochre Malden...moved into a compact size.
Really like the idea of using the Moleskine, clever.

It's one week since you uploaded your video - how well is the pocket working for you? Pros and any Cons? Thanks.
I'm going to add this to our #onebookjuly2014 playlist, since it was in July. Really good example of getting back to basics.
