- A quick look at the premium hose disconnect set from Gardena. I believe Gardena was one of the first (if not the first) in this market space, which has not been taken over by generic competitors. having grown up with an assortment of Gardena connectors, it was time for me to upgrade my hose with this kit. Compared to the generic versions, these have greater flow capabilities, provide a more positive quick connect/disconnect, and are made of metal (brushed aluminum?). These parts are made in Germany, and the kit runs about $20.

Great video. I got exactly same fittings but all metals from Gardena with water stop feature. I bought this pack to be able to quickly attached and detach the sprayer gun without walking back to the spigot. It looks like I can detach the gun but can not reattach while under pressure (from outdoor spigot in city water supply). It appears that you could reattach your gun comfortably while under pressure (not sure if you opened the spigot fully). Please let me know if there is any trick to attach gun under pressure that you are using. Thank you very much.
I have these on my hose and spigot. When I turn off the water, water shoots out the spigot connector or vacuum breaker (on the spigot) is that normal ? Normally water would drain out the other end of the hose, but because of the water stop feature on the adapter it won’t
There's an easy solution to let the hose drain to prevent freezing etc. Turn off your water supply, then sqeeuze/open the spray gun (you refer to this as the hose tool (8:04) to release the pressure. While holding that "stop" end open, you disconnect the hose from your water supply. this enables air to take the place of the water. Ofcourse this does NOT work well when rolled up onto some carrier like you have. You will have to "walk it empty". You do this by slowly moving along the hose keeping it raised higher then the rest of the hose to let gravity do it's job and drain it. :)

Do you do a non return valve connector? To stop water in hose backing up potentially into water supply
I do not have that part, if you are going to inject chemicals that is a good idea!
Total crap. I bought the pulse sprinkler. It had one of these and no water would come out. Trash trash trash
Can anyone confirm if the metal alloy being used is aluminum? Don't want it fused with my brass bibbs.
The water flow looks to be restricted the same amount on both gardena and generic at the male plug.
Will this decrease water pressure when connect to a power washer?
