I just realized something. In Lute’s memory, she sees Adam standing up to Charlie, Lucifer, and the hotel residents in an almost heroic manner while in the show, he was actually whining about how they should be worshiping him. It probably is to show how much Lute loved and idolized Adam
Yeah, I noticed that, too. She remembers him doing this defiant last stand against Charlie and Lucifer when, in actuality, he was whining like a sore loser. She's a well-intentioned extremist on a mission to destroy hell, all for Adam.
Also the Hazbin Hotel group all around Adam’s body seemingly glad that Adam is dead and staring down Lute like “ you’re next.” Everyone was shocked when Nifty eliminated Adam. I’m pretty sure they weren’t expecting Adam to go down that way but he left himself vulnerable with his little rant.
In season 2 of the show, I wonder how she would react to heaven Pentious because they said he would be an important character in the heaven storyline and she truly believes that hell is forever.

I really like this take on Lute's character. Blinded by hate and grief combined with her strictly trying to live up to Adam's ideals and views makes for an even crueler and dangerous villain because Adam was in it for the fun of it but with his death, Lute is now in it for blood and now she has an army at her command and nothing to lose. Her throwing the exorcist in prison for giving Pentious an egg was also interesting because it shows just how far down the rabbit hole of hate she's fallen into to the point of punishing her own soldiers for small things.
Indeed and we also if you noticed saw some other Angels looked unsure of going back to Hell. This won't be the same as all their other Exterminations. Lute killed Dazzle and Adam went after Charlie with clear intent to kill. They broke the deal with Lucifer first. Heaven broke it's deal with the King of Hell. Now Lucifer is Unchained. He isn't going to be chilling at home hiding. If they show up he is gonna be ready to fight. And also in past Exterminations they came in with that air of being invincible gods to the Sinners. But now they know how to fight back and that they can fight back. Lucifer can bring all of Hell down of the Exorcist's heads. Not just the Sinners but the Demons, Princes, and Sins too. It can all come crashing down on them and Lute is to blinded by her thirst for revenge to see it.
I completely agree tho the act of throwing the exorcist in prison isn't so far off from their actions to Vaggie and what tehy already did with Vaggie, heck all things considered for her, this was a show of compassion since last time she ripped off an eye and wings from Vaggie for essentially the same crime: shwoing empathy and compassion to sinners. I completely agree that things under her command have only grown worse and more cruel, but I think that what we're seeing here was already there, she just made it worse by imprisoning any angel that could eventually go down the same path as her nemesis...heck thats awful yet def makes sense in her mind

I love how lute says "blinded by my own hatred" as her excuse for why she wasn't able to beat vaggie and help Adam, thus that's how she believes Adam died, because of her hatred, but in reality Adam died due to his own anger blinding him metaphorically and literally.
There's something about this Lute that's terrifying: she's found peace within the anger, she's fighting for love now. This is the advice that Vaggie got to come out the victor of her battle against Lute, and now Lute has found it in her own way. She's going to be calm and collected despite getting so much satisfaction from the slaughter. That's something we saw through this music video, at first it was blind wrath, but she took control of it and now can aim it, control it. That's why she's the angel of it, it doesn't control her, she controls it - and has *chosen* to embody it.
Not really. While Lute’s love for Adam will fuel her desire for revenge, Vaggie will be fighting to protect Charlie and her friends. On top of that, Vaggie is more likely to be calculating and defensive in the next fight.

It's really quite ironic that Lute is singing about being the Angel of Wrath when wrath is one of the Seven Deadly Sins, the very opposite of an angel.
This is the same universe where the sin of lust respects consent, instead of being Bill Cosby's biggest fan. I would say this universe's version of the deadly sins is a little vague.
Yeah, she's so blinded by hatred and her own twisted beliefs, that she can't see the contradiction in her new title. I wonder if it's something she gave herself, or if the rest of heaven's leaders are blind to it too. It's clear that they see hell as a threat, and believe that they need someone Lute to fight for them, but I'm not sure if they're deluded enough to actually give her a title of sin.

The fact that Pentious is in jail for no reason is so fitting, they don't want a sinner turned good to tell everyone about how the people with more power treat other sinners, and him too I guess

I can totally imagine him facing some undeserved consequence like this. With him being a redeemed sinner, I can picture them trying to hide this information from Heaven by either getting rid of the evidence or keep it on a low, and not tell anyone.
Nice to have seen another Angel feel bad for Pentious and how him kindness. Perhaps they’re able to talk to each other in their cells and figure out a way to get free
and they can probably tell the archangel Michael who was going to stop the exterminations because they were canceled and the fight continued illegally.

Notice how Emily isn’t in any of the scenes. This might happen during S2. Maybe Sir Pentious will catch on to Lute going back to hell and finishing what Adam started and warn Emily then she will warn Sera about Lute unless Sera is fully in with Lute.
I imagine a scene where Lute, in her new position, ends up in Hell, where she is invited to a meeting by an anonymous Overlord, who turns out to be Adam.
I like the idea that some of the exorcists could end up rebelling against lute as the new leader because of how ruthless she is, the two exorcists looked scared and the one holding sir pentious back even tried to save one of his eggs
Yeah same. Because while Adam and Lute would fully reject the prospect of redemption, that doesn’t necessarily mean that all the exorcists feel the same. Perhaps when seeing it with their own eyes they’d come around. Though they’d still have to follow orders. But with a leader as ruthless and cruel as Lute? Their loyalty may falter and dwindle.
That’s why Lute or Sera will try to keep Sir Pentious in custody so no one in heaven will see him so their narrative of redemption for sinners can still be pushed but that’s where Emily will have her own plans to expose heaven for hiding the fact that redemption is possible.
And Lute incidentally created another Vaggie because of the nice angel who gave Pentious an egg being thrown in prison. Please give that angel some spotlight as an oc or something she's very sweet.
And the worst thing is that she punished the exorcist that was trying to be nice to sir pentious. If i was there i would have tell her "at least she has a heart!"(she would probably put me in a cell too but it would be worth it)

Lute is ruthless and efficient and she's more concerned with the actual killing than with slurping obnoxiously on a straw or using cuss words when in front of her superiors. Sera wants mindless little enforcers; it was Adam's personality she took issue with, not his atrocities. Lute is what she wants.

Maybe Sera will change, even if it's just a bit. If it's true that she only agreed to the extermination because she thought there was no other way, maybe she will try to stop it in some way because she saw with her own eyes that redemption is possible and that Charlie was right

Alright, I noticed a parallel between this and I'd Fall Again. Lute refers to herself as the Angel of Wrath, turning the heat up, forging a victorious path. Emily, however, refers to herself as the Angel of Joy, crashing into the ground, bringing hope to the non-divine.
Nothing in this animation demonstrated the heart of the problem nearly as well as Sera absolutely gushing over Lute's aesthetics at 2:45 . Lute would just be a hateful rando at this point if not given her authority and position by Angelic Leadership, and you can really see the process by which Sera makes the "hard decisions" she pretended to be conflicted over during the canon "You didn't know" song. She's just as enthusiastic about the exterminations as Lute is, and just pretends otherwise when being grilled on the subject.

She clearly isn't a sociopath, she still feels regret for her actions. Sera is more like a puppet in the hands of the 6 Elder angels (her superiors) - she must obey or she will end up like Lucifer. With Adam’s Death, Lute rises from the ashes like a Phoenix to become the New Exorcist Leader! And from the looks of things she’s following through Azula and S1-4 Catra’s footsteps of leading the Exorcists, similar to how Catra led the Horde. And Season 3 Azula when she (temporarily) led the Fire Nation. But seems like she’d be a Villain to the very end, least according to her VA.
*Lute also reminds me temperamentally of Jasper from "Steven Universe" as well as Catra and Azula...Jasper hates Rose Quartz, Steven, Pearl, Garnet and Amethyst for the Pink Diamond's death in the same way Lute hates Vaggie, Charlie, Lucifer and Niffty for Adam's death...the incredible thing is that in the Italian dubbing Lute from "Hazbin Hotel" is dubbed by Valentina Favazza who also dubbed Garnet in "Steven Universe" years ago, while the voice actress Rossa Caputo played both Charlie Morningstar and Catra in the Italian dubbing and the voice actor Riccardo Suarez (half-Italian and half-Spanish) played both Angel Dust and Steven from "Steven Universe The Movie" and "Steven Universe Future" in the Italian dubbing!!! 😅😂🤣*
Lute's new armor is awesome. It looks like a combination of her and Adam's outfits. And her new cybernetic arm. It's probably made from heavenly steel. I hope Lute will have a suit similar to this one as the new exorcist supreme.
what I want to mention about Lute is that she seems to have some sadistic tendancies that caused even Addam to be like 'Chill tf out.' As shown in the last episode. Which would be Fine when she had someone who could be a damper or barrier. But she doesn't, The most is Sera who I doubt is going to stand much in her way, and shes now a leader of the Exorcists. litterally she can be as Sadistic as she wants to the sinners and no one will stop her.
That’s what makes Lute dangerous in her new position. She got command of the exorcists and has Adam’s power to herself. Her insanity will probably be at its peak at this point without Adam pulling her leash. Any attempts from Heaven to control her will be resisted.
👏🏽 I love how you capture Lute’s *highly* unhealthy obsession with both Vaggie and Adam. I really want to see how her and Vaggie were in Heaven, because I *do* think they were very close friends.
My favorite parts are the little eggies bringing comfort and Lute's nightmare filled with guilt about not being there for Adam. Some other nice ones are scenes with the clear differences between the two like the hallway scenes where Adam ends with a laugh, but she stays angry and the scenes where you can see how she is being ruled by her anger. All in all another great song

Lutes VA has teased some parts of her lines in season two, and it’s up for consideration, but Lute’s probably gonna go crazy or be depressed in season two.
Both she just wants the pain of her failure to end. She might go after Charlie and the crew regardless whether heaven sanctions it or not. She’s got nothing to lose now.
I love the differences in Lute's expression the first time she's shooting the targets. She shows no hesitation or regret shooting at the Niffty target because she doesn't know her at all (and she's the one most directly responsible for Adam's death), while she shakes her head before shooting the Lucifer target because he's a seraphim so there's a sense of regret for what she has to do, and the Vaggie target she's completely tormented because they were like sisters. I just think it's neat to have those nuances.
You know I always thought lutes name was a reference to an instrument because of Adam’s love of music so that little detail you included was pretty meaningful for me because I now know that I am not alone
It could also be a reference to her rank Liutenant as the first part is pronounced Lute or also a slang for vagina but who knows wel'l have to wait and see if any of these three are implied in the canon

Amazing song, really plays into my hopes about what will/should happen. Also, I love seeing the deeper levels of the song. Sir Pentious keeping the eggs, the angel trying to comfort him, Lute clearly having trauma/survivor’s guilt from the battle. It’s all done so well!
It's interesting to see how Lute deals with the loss of Adam. She really loved him and saw him as a role model. Yet the way she manifests that is totally different. Adam was bad but he was nonchalant about his killing. He hated demons sure but it was a fun sport to him. Lute however didn't grasp that aspect, she is fully regimental in her dedication and her conviction is only narrowed because demons killed Adam. The scene with her and Vaggie shows it. There was a time where she wasn't so bitter despite still admiring Adam. In fact, that scene is amazing storytelling. Hair holds memories. Vaggie's was short when she fell and it grew out as she made new memories with her new hell family. Lute's was long and playful, full of the good times. Ever since Vaggie fell and Adam dies though, it's short and serious. The difference between her and Adam calling the soldiers to attention is a difference of joke vs serious. Even locking up her own soldiers for any form of disloyalty. Pentious collecting eggs because of his loss and then having them stomped out by Lute was just tragic but having her own soldier thrown in too is crazy, like a paranoid dictator. But I guess the crux of this all is she says she wants to be stronger because back then she was blinded by hatred. Yet her motivations are purely revenge. So how exactly she will prove her new form, cool golden hand laser + golden Lute and all, will be very interesting. She will not cope seeing Adam as a demon. She will be forced to believe in redemption or she will tear herself apart from the inside out emotionally.
Yeah feel like she’s gonna be the show’s new Catra. Whether in the last Season she gets redemption or not but personally I’m fine with Lute NOT being redeemed and staying a Villain to the very end.
@@AveD3M0NWe don't know if the Archangels see about the exterminations, but seeing Ars Paulina's face in episode 6 we know that even they didn't know what it could mean that Sera allowed the Extermination to happen behind everyone's back.
I hope Sir Pentious and that friendly Exorcist escape together and start secretly rallying winner supporters who believe in redemption is possible and start a rebellion/uprising from within Heaven.
I feel like in a future season, Lute might become obsessed and try to overthrow Sera! Just a reminder, Viv hinted that Sera might has a redemption arc.
but the biggest difficulty for Lute would not be Sera but the archangel Michael who would be in a higher hierarchy than Sera, where Miguel may be able to ban Lute from paradise if she violates a law.

Funny how Lute can be even more mean than Adam, you have she passing by 2 exorcists but instead of Adam who praised them she got angry, and them she destroying the eggs was so brutal that even the other exorcist got shocked and proceeding to arrest her because she shown the minimal amount of sympaty is something even Adam wouldn't do

I just realized something. In Lute’s memory, she sees Adam standing up to Charlie, Lucifer, and the hotel residents in an almost heroic manner while in the show, he was actually whining about how they should be worshiping him. It probably is to show how much Lute loved and idolized Adam
Yeah, I noticed that, too. She remembers him doing this defiant last stand against Charlie and Lucifer when, in actuality, he was whining like a sore loser. She's a well-intentioned extremist on a mission to destroy hell, all for Adam.
Also the Hazbin Hotel group all around Adam’s body seemingly glad that Adam is dead and staring down Lute like “ you’re next.” Everyone was shocked when Nifty eliminated Adam. I’m pretty sure they weren’t expecting Adam to go down that way but he left himself vulnerable with his little rant.

I really like this take on Lute's character. Blinded by hate and grief combined with her strictly trying to live up to Adam's ideals and views makes for an even crueler and dangerous villain because Adam was in it for the fun of it but with his death, Lute is now in it for blood and now she has an army at her command and nothing to lose. Her throwing the exorcist in prison for giving Pentious an egg was also interesting because it shows just how far down the rabbit hole of hate she's fallen into to the point of punishing her own soldiers for small things.
Indeed and we also if you noticed saw some other Angels looked unsure of going back to Hell. This won't be the same as all their other Exterminations. Lute killed Dazzle and Adam went after Charlie with clear intent to kill. They broke the deal with Lucifer first. Heaven broke it's deal with the King of Hell. Now Lucifer is Unchained. He isn't going to be chilling at home hiding. If they show up he is gonna be ready to fight. And also in past Exterminations they came in with that air of being invincible gods to the Sinners. But now they know how to fight back and that they can fight back. Lucifer can bring all of Hell down of the Exorcist's heads. Not just the Sinners but the Demons, Princes, and Sins too. It can all come crashing down on them and Lute is to blinded by her thirst for revenge to see it.
I completely agree tho the act of throwing the exorcist in prison isn't so far off from their actions to Vaggie and what tehy already did with Vaggie, heck all things considered for her, this was a show of compassion since last time she ripped off an eye and wings from Vaggie for essentially the same crime: shwoing empathy and compassion to sinners. I completely agree that things under her command have only grown worse and more cruel, but I think that what we're seeing here was already there, she just made it worse by imprisoning any angel that could eventually go down the same path as her nemesis...heck thats awful yet def makes sense in her mind

I love how lute says "blinded by my own hatred" as her excuse for why she wasn't able to beat vaggie and help Adam, thus that's how she believes Adam died, because of her hatred, but in reality Adam died due to his own anger blinding him metaphorically and literally.
There's something about this Lute that's terrifying: she's found peace within the anger, she's fighting for love now. This is the advice that Vaggie got to come out the victor of her battle against Lute, and now Lute has found it in her own way. She's going to be calm and collected despite getting so much satisfaction from the slaughter. That's something we saw through this music video, at first it was blind wrath, but she took control of it and now can aim it, control it. That's why she's the angel of it, it doesn't control her, she controls it - and has *chosen* to embody it.

Not really. While Lute’s love for Adam will fuel her desire for revenge, Vaggie will be fighting to protect Charlie and her friends. On top of that, Vaggie is more likely to be calculating and defensive in the next fight.

I wonder if it's something she gave herself, or if the rest of heaven's leaders are blind to it too. It's clear that they see hell as a threat, and believe that they need someone Lute to fight for them, but I'm not sure if they're deluded enough to actually give her a title of sin.

I can totally imagine him facing some undeserved consequence like this. With him being a redeemed sinner, I can picture them trying to hide this information from Heaven by either getting rid of the evidence or keep it on a low, and not tell anyone.
Nice to have seen another Angel feel bad for Pentious and how him kindness. Perhaps they’re able to talk to each other in their cells and figure out a way to get free

I like the idea that some of the exorcists could end up rebelling against lute as the new leader because of how ruthless she is, the two exorcists looked scared and the one holding sir pentious back even tried to save one of his eggs
Yeah same. Because while Adam and Lute would fully reject the prospect of redemption, that doesn’t necessarily mean that all the exorcists feel the same. Perhaps when seeing it with their own eyes they’d come around. Though they’d still have to follow orders.
But with a leader as ruthless and cruel as Lute? Their loyalty may falter and dwindle.
That’s why Lute or Sera will try to keep Sir Pentious in custody so no one in heaven will see him so their narrative of redemption for sinners can still be pushed but that’s where Emily will have her own plans to expose heaven for hiding the fact that redemption is possible.

Lute is ruthless and efficient and she's more concerned with the actual killing than with slurping obnoxiously on a straw or using cuss words when in front of her superiors. Sera wants mindless little enforcers; it was Adam's personality she took issue with, not his atrocities. Lute is what she wants.

Nothing in this animation demonstrated the heart of the problem nearly as well as Sera absolutely gushing over Lute's aesthetics at 2:45 . Lute would just be a hateful rando at this point if not given her authority and position by Angelic Leadership, and you can really see the process by which Sera makes the "hard decisions" she pretended to be conflicted over during the canon "You didn't know" song. She's just as enthusiastic about the exterminations as Lute is, and just pretends otherwise when being grilled on the subject.

Lute's new armor is awesome. It looks like a combination of her and Adam's outfits. And her new cybernetic arm. It's probably made from heavenly steel. I hope Lute will have a suit similar to this one as the new exorcist supreme.

My favorite parts are the little eggies bringing comfort and Lute's nightmare filled with guilt about not being there for Adam.
Some other nice ones are scenes with the clear differences between the two like the hallway scenes where Adam ends with a laugh, but she stays angry and the scenes where you can see how she is being ruled by her anger.

I love the differences in Lute's expression the first time she's shooting the targets. She shows no hesitation or regret shooting at the Niffty target because she doesn't know her at all (and she's the one most directly responsible for Adam's death), while she shakes her head before shooting the Lucifer target because he's a seraphim so there's a sense of regret for what she has to do, and the Vaggie target she's completely tormented because they were like sisters.
I just think it's neat to have those nuances.
Or because she was defeated by Vaggie, and saw Lucifer beating Adam to a pulp. Maybe is less regret than genuine fear.

Amazing song, really plays into my hopes about what will/should happen. Also, I love seeing the deeper levels of the song. Sir Pentious keeping the eggs, the angel trying to comfort him, Lute clearly having trauma/survivor’s guilt from the battle. It’s all done so well!

It's interesting to see how Lute deals with the loss of Adam. She really loved him and saw him as a role model. Yet the way she manifests that is totally different. Adam was bad but he was nonchalant about his killing. He hated demons sure but it was a fun sport to him. Lute however didn't grasp that aspect, she is fully regimental in her dedication and her conviction is only narrowed because demons killed Adam. The scene with her and Vaggie shows it. There was a time where she wasn't so bitter despite still admiring Adam.
In fact, that scene is amazing storytelling. Hair holds memories. Vaggie's was short when she fell and it grew out as she made new memories with her new hell family. Lute's was long and playful, full of the good times. Ever since Vaggie fell and Adam dies though, it's short and serious.
The difference between her and Adam calling the soldiers to attention is a difference of joke vs serious. Even locking up her own soldiers for any form of disloyalty. Pentious collecting eggs because of his loss and then having them stomped out by Lute was just tragic but having her own soldier thrown in too is crazy, like a paranoid dictator.
But I guess the crux of this all is she says she wants to be stronger because back then she was blinded by hatred. Yet her motivations are purely revenge. So how exactly she will prove her new form, cool golden hand laser + golden Lute and all, will be very interesting. She will not cope seeing Adam as a demon. She will be forced to believe in redemption or she will tear herself apart from the inside out emotionally.
Yeah feel like she’s gonna be the show’s new Catra. Whether in the last Season she gets redemption or not but personally I’m fine with Lute NOT being redeemed and staying a Villain to the very end.

but the biggest difficulty for Lute would not be Sera but the archangel Michael who would be in a higher hierarchy than Sera, where Miguel may be able to ban Lute from paradise if she violates a law.
Yeah it’s probably gonna be interesting to see Sera’s redemption arc beginning either in the end of Season 2 or in Season 3.
