Stewie is 1 of 1, she is the MVP this year without a doubt. She might not get it because of politics and whatever, but her numbers, how she makes her teammates better, what she does on and off the court is unmatched. She’s in a new city, on a new team, in a new system…. And she is still dominating the league. #1 in win share, #1 in defensive win shared, #1 in offensive win shares, #1 in efficiency….
She is the best player in the world, and in the WNBA.
Also, how cute is her relationship with Ruby and Marta :)

I’m a new fan (started watching right before the all star game) and how amazing Stewie, Sabrina, and Laney in particular are is what got me so invested. Crazy that the Libs have never one a championship. If we can’t do it this year, not sure we ever will. The entire team is so amazing! No other team has as talented as a bench as we do. KT and MJ in particular are starters on any other team.

Facts I remember the 1st game they played @ The Forum on 6/21/97 & Stewie was only 34 months old probably barely 🚶 😆 & 26 years later her 1st year on the Liberty & she's from upstate N.Y. & they win their 1st championship she'll own this city.

THE MVP RACE (Breaking down the statistics)
While Alyssa Thomas has had a fantastic year and deserves a mention, the MVP race has once again boiled down to the two indisputably best players in the WNBA this decade: Breanna Stewart and A’Ja Wilson.
Wilson is the premier inside scorer and rim defender, and is virtually unstoppable by teams that lack a quality center. Stewart is the most versatile player in the league, able to play and defend all five positions, a great passer, and a threat to score from anywhere on the court. Stewart is #1 in efficiency this season and #1 in BOTH offensive and defensive win-shares (a feat accomplished by only two other players in WNBA history -- they both won the MVP). Still, looking at their stats and all the ways they contribute to the success of their respective teams, it is difficult to pick one over the other. Let’s compare their numbers since 2020, when their rivalry really began.
    2020- 2023:
    Stewart: 21.6 ppg (46%), 8.7 reb, 3.25 ast, 1.5 stl, 1.4 blk. FT: 594/697 85.2%
    Wilson: 20.2 ppg (49.9%) 9.3 reb, 2.2 ast, 1.2 stl, 1.85 blk. FT: 663/806 82.2%
(641 of Stewart’s 1940 FG attempts were 3-pointers, compared to Wilson’s 112 out of a total of 1914 FG attempts. Stewart’s 2 pt FG shooting percentage is actually slightly better than Wilson’s: 51% to Wilson’s 50.7%)
    PLAYOFFS:
    Stewart: (12 games): 26.3 ppg (52.6%), 8.67 reb, 4.1 ast, 1.33 stl, 1.75 blk FT 56/64 87.5%
    Wilson: (23 games): 19.1 ppg (49.9%), 7.96 reb, 2.4 ast , 1.0 stl, 2.0 blk FT 112/142 79%
    PLAYOFFS - Head-to-head matchups (3 in 2020 & 4 in 2022):
    Stewart: 29ppg (76/132 57.5%), 8.5 rpg, (20 ast, 6 stl, 14 blk total for 7 games).
    Wilson: 22 pts (58/115 50.4%), 9.5 rpg, (13 ast, 8 stl, 13 blk total for 7 games).
In my opinion, Stewart has had the biggest impact on her team in 2023, but there's no denying Wilson has also had an MVP year. BUT this would be Wilson's third MVP award in the last 4 years whereas Stewart has none, and considering their almost identical statistics over that span, that would certainly call into question the impartiality of the voters.
That is why, if there are any coin-flippers out there, Stewart deserves your vote for MVP in 2023.
