First Dr. GV needs to be generously recognised and awarded for the detailing in organic farming, climate change etc. useful for mankind. His presentation was simple and lucid even to the non farming exposed individuals. Appreciation to Farmizen and Shamik for airing these educative videos on regular basis. Keep it going as you also play the role of cog in a wheel.🎉
Also the important thing which is missing in current system is the nutrient cycle. We are mining nutrients from our villages and transporting it to urban areas but the reverse flow is not happening. Most of our food waste either ends up in big dumps or goes down the drain gets mixed with chemicals and plastic.
This is great.. Thank you for helping us to get introduced to Raman Sir.. we need these voices more in our public domain! I am a Regenerative farmer from Trichy, Tamilnadu.. Can you please let me know a way how can I reach out to Raman Sir.. Thank you..
I am glad this video showed up on my timeline. Thank you for this. I am currently trying to transition into natural farming and I thoroughly enjoyed this video.
I have been into organic farming with certification and this podcast is good one and i can see the issues i am facing and what he is talking. Good work ram sir 90 mins well spent.
As Dr. Ramanjaneyulu said, Organic certification is a huge expense for farmers. Instead, as a starter could we suggest compensation towards non use of chemicals (pesticides and fertilisers ) be an immediate option? . Getting the optimum yield should be the farmer's responsibility)
Politicians in india Primarily create policies to secure their votes and maintain power for their 5 year business term, majorly politicians are capitalist they interested in money and power. their goal is political gains, instead of addressing societal problems. From Ramoo sir i learned if you are truly concerned about a problem take a step and action it is the solution, rather than focusing to much on absence of policies and waiting for others to adress the issue taking a step is the real way forward. Thanks for another day of motivating us..
On the few field experiences of his, and solution to the same that he shared, has he published any paper on that subject matter ? However, his stand on 'chemical' fertilizer appears to be at odds with achievements of Dutch farmers - what's missing ?
The statement about distortions in the words and actions. Both are different. Millets is one example not recognized and there is a lobby trying to push millets in to pds system hasnt happened and millets growing is good for soils and environment.
Why can't organic compost be made & sold by government instead of chemicals. Compost is cheaper too, just piling & turning waste makes it.Atleast big farms should, it's more economical for them as well. Why pay for unnecessary chemicals & make life worse for all..
Its not feasible. For example, If i want to make 1 kg of organic compost, it can take anywhere between 10-90 days depending on the kind of composting method used. Chemical fertilizers can be made in a jiffy in the factory. But yes, govt can encourage farmers to compost farm yard residue, use cow dung etc and reduce the use of chemical fertilizers.
So, there is no solution. People watching this understand the problem, feel bad about the problem but we are not part of the solution and we do not have any influence or role to play from our PC's
Consumers must play a big role in this transformation. We are consumers here.
Fantastic video, man. Hats off.
Thank you !

Farmizen, you are doing good work. As a n organic farmer, I appreciate it.
Very nice interview Shamik.....Sir GV Ramanjaneyulu is a pioneer and he should be in National panel to bring India forward in sustainable agriculture

Yes !
Very informative sir❤
Great work sir ❤
Pl suggest how to change over to organic farming. Inputs needed or how to prepare in the farm
We buy raw materials for agriculture in retail. And sell our produce to wholesaler less than whole sale price.
true

Absolutely right !

Yes several papers - you can look at csa-india.org for the research

So if my neibhour is using chemical fertilizer and i dont, can we prove that mine will be 100% organic??
The irony of it 😂 when there was nutrition, the country didn't have enough to eat. Today, there's enough to eat, but hollow of nutrients 😂😂😂
If you touch fertilizer ...you know what happened to Srilankan policy that lead to food shortage?
Yes we cover the reason for the srilankan debacle in the discussion
Correction - Pulses included under MSP
Basically, farmers don't know about how much nutrients particular crop needs.
nO BUDDY IN UNIVERSE KNOWS. only nature as a WHOLE kNOWS.
How can we join as farmer! !

There is a solution , we speak about it towards the end. And consumers have an important role to play in that solution
the sound its awful
for both speakers ? or for one of us ?
For all of us
