I honestly just realized that the soundtrack for this is the same from the original stop motion! This is amazing, it inspired me to make my own! She’s in the oven rn and she’s all clay and wire so far this is so cool!
Oh wow this is brilliant! I myself am fairly new to the stop motion animation scene, and while I have built some basic armatures before, I always find that the wire limbs break really easily, which then makes it difficult to replace them to continue animating, without damaging the rest of the puppet. May I ask how you get around this issue? Like for this particular puppet, are you able to remove the limbs from the wooden 'joints' to replace them if necessary, and if so how do you do this? In my own armatures, I have used tiny metal couplings for the joints and wire for the rest, but the former is incredibly difficult to get hold of and they are much more awkward to work with compared to other materials
Awesome video, and a beautiful creation. Do you bake the head? If so, do you have any tips to avoid bubbles? Through pure luck, the first head I made for my puppet came out perfect. Then, I started messing with its head, and at some point, I chipped the clay. Ever since, I can’t get another head to come out to save my life. Every time I try to bake the heads now, I get horrible bubbles. I’ve used different types of clay and tried all sorts of strategies. I’ve used liquid clay on the wood first. I bought a pasta maker to better condition the clay. But I haven’t had any luck :-( If you have any tips, please share them. Either way, thanks for sharing this awesome video
Hello Adeena, I am new to your channel and love everything I see up to now. Can you please tell me what glue are you using to glue the twisted armature/ears to your balsam wood, thanks :)
@@AdeenaGrubb Hi! Did you bake the sculpey? If so, when in the process? [also I love your content! Currently re-making my own first puppet and am so inspired by your process! thank you so much for this video and your replies in the comments!]

Awesome! I love this type of stuff. I remember making claymations when I was 7. Always loved the craft
She is adorable 🥺
You are doing perfect job on dolls!
3:15 you scared me! Jajaja I realy love your puppet
Hello! Love this little character, so much personality put into her :) Would you be able to list all the supplies you used?
That would be so helpful!
Sure! I will update the description
So beautiful and detailed, and such character!
Wow such a cool puppet.
Huh. So that was the first Marshall to be made? Nice.
I’ve been watching a lot of your videos :) I’m getting really inspired I might make my own puppet someday.
This puppet is gorgeous!
Fucking finally! Curly black hair on a stop motion puppet!
Great work my friend!!!!
This is absolutely amazing! How do you keep the eyes from falling out?
Nothing, I don’t use eyes for plastic army men.
Thanks! A little blob of tacky wax behind the eyeball :)
@@AdeenaGrubb
I love this. But when you bend the legs though, won’t the paint chip off?
@@aaromotivestudio3869 it's probably latex, so it's quite flexible
@@katerinabacova5578
You’re saying the coating is latex?
Beautiful.
it got real for me when you started making her clothes 😭😊
I have just posted my first stop motion video-. One day I will create a doll too. This one is amazing!

Very tim-burton esque!
Love it
Can you mix acrylic paint into the latex or do I have to use an alcohol ink or a mica powder?
Amasing video !! What sort of matter do you use to cover your frame ? Thank tou so much
what kind of latex was used for the body? looking into making my own puppet :)
Just liquid latex, I use the Trustleaf brand
@@AdeenaGrubb was it the right color?
I tried Mold builder liquid latex but it peeled off! I think I needed more coats. It's all just an experiment in the beginning I think, but it's fun!!
What if you made the puppets of the human characters from the 1996 James and the Giant Peach movie in a Lane Smith style?
Did you add sculpy to the face? Isn’t it soft ? Cause you didn’t bake it to harden it right ?
jump scare at 3:15 heheheh
How do u shape the basla tree, into the shape u want? what kind of tools do u use? 🙂

Amazing job! What did you use to make the head? What kind of clay?
Its sculpey :)

Awesome! How did you manage to do the eyebrows?
was it sculpy or milliput that covered her head? of it was the former, was it never hardened?
How do you make the eyes movable but stay in place? 😮
Good one. Where did you source the eyes from?
Do your fingers not rip straight through the latex/silicone when you go to animate? The wire can be sharp at times.
This is so great! I’m really inspired, what did you use to wrap around the wire?
Thank you! That's bandage pre-wrap, it's basically a really thin foam.
The actual puppet is amazing but I have one question we’re did you
Get the fabric because I want to learn how to do stuff like that 😄😀
I got it from a shop called Little Trimmings!
Thanks
This looks so amazing!!!! What did you use for the hair? How did you attach it to the head?
Its wool roving stuck on with UHU glue!
How much would you charge to make me one?
I loved this!!! how tall was the doll?
Y puedes poner la plantilla para imprimir los ojos?
I have the same type of dress fabric
Love this! What's the music? :)
woah!!
Hola ! Con que aplicación hicistes el boceto ?
Is that driftwood you use for the interior armature?
I think it's balsawood.
Cuanto mide ?
Good
how do you make the indents on the head where the eyeballs stay in place ? What type of tool :) ? xx
I think it was a drill.
a dremel!
Do you ever make custom figures or offer classes on how to make one??
I do! I have a Patreon where I make a lot of tutorials and videos :)
