1920x1080 yes. It's called a grid mod, it helps for placement of buildings etc.

Gut, 25 minutes into game, 3 stables down and producing vill's from 3 TC's. Like Gief the skills :> Knight rush is great.
is there a rule of some kind about a mid-game pause for a certain period of time? if i were involved in a game such as this, and some one paused the game, especially for a significant period of time, i would be inclined to be a bit pissed off. of course the advantage of talking strategy with tour partner, it's rather rude....of course short of your house burning down or a home invasion...i'm just saying.....i feel it's rather b.s.,.... sorry just my op.

Does the extra range of briton Xbow/arbalest make up for the lack of thumbring?
well im not an expert but it clearly does since brits usually have the advantge in a archer war against generic archer civs
In small to mid-size engagements, for sure. The accuracy is a surprisingly (to me) small factor. In large engagements, it depends a bit on how well managed things are from both sides. It's very strong if your opponent doesn't have their army moving as a unit, but if your opponent brings their army to bear effectively I'm not sure how it would play out, because the increased attack speed is pretty significant.
Arx ? if you think about it, it's the attack speed that makes mangudai so much stronger.. I understand that extra range adds more time to deal damage and not take it. If persay the gap is closed then they might not win? Longbows v Plums
That's why it depends a bit on how well managed things are. I think in Longbows vs. Plumes the plumes take it, because they have 1.9 attack speed (vs. 2), 2 pierce armour (vs. 1), and 65 HP (vs. 40). In the post-imperial, Plumes need 8 shots to kill an EL (15.2s, without Thumb Ring) and EL need 11 shots to kill Plumes (22s). The numbers don't translate _nearly_ this directly into actual game terms, but it's safe to say that _if_ you can avoid taking too many casualties getting into range Plumes are strongly favoured.
There's a curve on piercing armour though, and EL do much better against Paladins, for instance, than Plumes, because they have higher damage.
Also, total aside, the reason Elite Mangudai are oppressively strong in AoC is that they have a 0-frame delay (most archers have 5) on shooting. That means the instant you click, they shoot, which makes them _literally_ impossible to kill on a good connection against a player with decent micro. And they have an attack bonus on onagers, the only thing with a hope of hitting them.
I agree with that, something I totally overlooked was the frame delay. How much better do EL fair against paladins? The RoF must make a difference though?
