They performed many times before this show with the new drummer. There is a show on youtube were they played only about 4 months after Munetaka Higuchi died.

I rememeber getting Thunder in the East by mistake from Columbia House back in `85.. when I opened the package and saw them me and my friends laughed our asses off. Then we played the album.... laugh turned to awe... and have been a big fan ever since. SOOOOO glad I forgot to send the mail back to them and tell them I didn't want that album !
Takasaki san is the most unknown, under appreciated guitar god! His tone and phrasing is insane! and he has been doing it forever. I live in Tokyo, if I had known they were playing...I would have been there for sure.

LOUDNESS were the shit thunder in the east is one of the best heavy metal albums released in the 80's although there were tons of great LP's this was one of them. Akira just kills it on his killer.
