I remember Lucy Laney from the early 80's, this band was over 200members strong. Better know as ""The Pride of Augusta Georgia".,,unfunding has destroyed this outstanding marching band members.
Good band. I have to say though that the gaggle of supporters, the wagon lady, and director (?) that casually stroll and wander along in front of the Drum Major and along side other members of the performers are very unprofessional looking and a distraction. The lady in the white with the military style cap wandering around in front of the Drum Major presents a very poor image as a leader. March smartly to the side of the band in step.
Those members that appear to be casually strolling with the band are actually staff members of the band. The lady in the white hat is the director of bands. I can assure you that if they are in the way of the students it’s for good reason (uniform malfunctions, etc) she also run commands to her drum major that he in turn gives to the band. Solid working system in place.
@@davedadrummer0351 Local high school in my town. Staff and volunteers walk beside the band not in front of them. Also the Drum Majors knows his job we don't have to tell him what to do every second.
As a former DM for Morris Brown, it's good to see our "Pat Boom" Style STILL ALIVE
My dad went to Morris Brown.
Its traditional honestly.. and a look of confidence
Lucy Laney, T.W. Josey, and Butler have great high school bands.
