Jon I just want to say you’re doing a great job and I don’t want explaining the Scriptures but also showing that we need to use logic when we read God’s word and not become all mysteriously and mystified
Acts 2:22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a MAN APPROVED OF GOD among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which GOD DID THROUGH HIM in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: I mean how much plainer can it be said!!
It’s interesting that the Trinitariam doctrine can be so prominently injected into translations by bias intellects. It makes me wonder how many doctrines are created by these biases? The traditional doctrine of eternal conscious torment might be another worthwhile endeavor. It never made sense to me that throughout all Old Testament scripture God referred to justice as equal measures and then boom all the sudden everlasting conscious torment is “what he meant” by equal measures. Or the fact that the soul who sins shall die actually means the soul who sins shall experience torture forever. Or that the wicked are like the chaff that get burned up in the furnace (a picture of temporary existence by extermination) yet somehow now translates to mean they’ll suffer consciously. Or the “worm that never finishes” somehow means that what the worm is consuming is alive during its consumption. The traditional doctrine of hell is odd and seems like a foreign object when reading scripture.
I fully agree with the trans. "what God was the word was" But does that not mean he as all of the atributes of God? Joh 16:15 All that the Father has is mine; therefore I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you. Heb 1:3 He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, Kindly respond :)
John your a total genius
May Yahweh bless you
always...
