i live in Ingham and BOM was way to slow to issue warnings for this rain event. other independent weather forecasters prodicted and warned us a week ago, Bom gave us less then 24 hours warning so please have this looked into and ask some question because people of this region were left in the unknown

No I watch windy and watch multiple people, and a few called it early and some didn't. It was a hard system to predict, but just throwing those early cautions and warnings out can help even if it's stating to just watch and act 2 days prior would of been nice

Not only the BOM but some of these weather Pages on FB looking at you "Wally's Weather" were initially saying "oh we don't want to scare anybody like other weather Pages it's just a low nothing to worry about" ...as soon as the low formed North Queenslanders should have been preparing, I feel sorry for the southerners who moved up here and have been caught out unprepared.

That's not a heat wave, that's normal for Summer. Heaps of rain up our way though.

That's correct , but the climate change loonies like to play it up every time it rains , or there's a thunder clap .

@@GrooberNedJardine Cyclones don't do too much damage up here now. Larry and Yasi removed most of the buildings that weren't built to modern Cyclone Standards a while back. So now we pay exorbitant insurance premiums for living in a "Cyclone Zone" whilst other areas more at risk of loss get discounts. 🤔

The wet season , the rivers & streams are running a banker , the gentle rain falling , the farmers & primary producers are smiling . Beautiful tropics . Why would you want to live anywhere else in Australia 🇦🇺 ?? . You have a nice day and a cold beer 🍺 or a Moscato light & refreshing wine 🍷 tonight . Wouldn’t be dead for quids .
