hi dr ashley, ty so much for your advice and helping others to get on track. i’d like to know your thoughts on collagen, like the vitals powder…how necessary is it(i’m 50) if i eat plenty of protein. is it a waste on my money? there’s so much contradictions out there. is my body really absorbing it or can i attain my intake through what i eat? if you lean towards the supplement, how much should i be consuming? ty 😊
Thank you for watching! Products like collagen or protein powder are great to incorporate if you are someone who struggles to get enough protein in throughout the day as a way to supplement your diet. The Vitals Powder collagen is a great option if you are looking for a collagen or protein powder and you can use this in place of a meal or snack. I hope this helps!
It´s amazing that these "experts" sitting on tv and explaining something biast recommendations, with processed products. They are still afraid of fat and protein but carbs are "necessary".
This is interesting, why does this content have to start shaming other people? Instead of focusing on what you want to teach?,.. with all respect Dr. if you are so sure about your knowledge make sure your message goes to lots of places so your truth can bury other people's misinformation Instead of shaming other women ( people in general).
You can still enjoy, if you are able to eat it in moderation. It's just not giving you any protein so if that is all you're eating for a snack, you're missing out. Also, no need to fear salt. Lower sodium doesn't make it a better product.

Hi! Appreciate your feedback. My goal here is to state the facts- no shame or judgement.
And again, I am so sad about peanut butter. I love peanut butter for a snack with some celery and I use lower sodium peanut butter. 😢

Thanks for addressing these protein basics!
Appreciate you tuning in!
