3 questions. When accelerating it seems like it’s shifting gears. On and off the throttle. I know it’s diesel / electric. Locomotives where I am are steady throttle. 2nd ? Why so many locomotives running around pulling nothing. 3rd. Why 2 locomotives to pull so few cars or wagons. Thanks
If the questions you are asking are referring to this video I can answer. 1. some drivers like to build up the speed of the loco that way. 2. They run Light engine to get they load from yards, or are needed for weekend work. 3.Two locos are on some test trains as the go to branch lines.
@antman09ful1 I have no problem with your filming. It's just that recently you have increasingly used the childish buzzwords in an attempt to attract the young 'spotters. As I have said many times before, an accelerating loco is not "thrashing". indeed putting a loco to max on take off will get the driver an interview without coffee. Anyway, if you cannot ACCEPT criticism, I suggest that this is not the medium for you. Xx

Fantastic stuff. I’ll never tire of watching 37s. I enjoyed 37688 on the SVR when it was based there for a bit/ operated a few galas pre COVID.
