Forrest Gump is what I watched all the time. No joke, from 8-11 years old, I watched that movie easily 2,000 times. A minimum of once per day, but during the summers I’d watch it as many as 6 times a day. 2 hours and 22 minutes long, I genuinely would watch it for 12 hours a day while I played World Of Warcraft. Minimize WoW so I had both in each side of the screen and just binge it while I played. God I love that movie 😂
I honestly appreciate the hell out of you for checking out the more obscure or underrated gems that most creators wont watch. Theres several movies ive been dying for someone to watch and your the only one doing them so thank you for that!
Yeah it’s interesting, there’s only one other channel on TH-cam that’s reacted to this movie, and it was 4 months ago. Nobody seems to want to react to it. It’s a good movie.
I worked at a daycare and the ratio of children to teacher depends on the age of the child. Babies (like 6 weeks old) require 2 teachers for about 7-8 babies. Toddlers (1-2.5) require 1 teacher every 6 kids. 3-4 is 1 teacher every 8 or so kids. And then 5 year-olds get 1 teacher per 10-12 kids.
Only thing I remember from preschool, well maybe I don’t and it’s just a false memory from being told the story my whole life, but I bit through my tongue. There was a little kitchen area in the preschool, and they had a jar of cookies on the fridge. Well, I wanted a cookie, so I brought a chair in, put it next to the fridge, and tried to reach up and grab it. The chair slipped, I fell to the floor, and hit my chin on the ground and bit all the way through my tongue. . I had scars under my tongue for many years, until I was maybe 16. My front top teeth had a pretty big gap, and there were 2 little horizontal scars lol. They’ve disappeared completely now in my mid 20s. . The one thing I think about in this story is where the teachers were, or any adult, really lol. How did I drag a chair to the fridge in the preschool without anyone knowing or hearing something occurring?
@@johnnyrocket1685 There could be many explanations. One is that the teachers were just straight up not doing their jobs. Another is that something was going on with another kid and all their attention was taken. Another is that the teachers were occupied by another adult. It's easy to lose track of a couple kids, let alone an entire group haha. It could've been anything. Childcare workers are really just underpaid and overworked so it could've simply been an issue of a teacher or two were just too tired to pay enough attention to everyone at once.
Eddie Murphy is just such a huge part of my childhood. My sister and I loved this movie growing up! Like others have commented, I appreciate you reacting to lesser talked about films :)
I can confidently confirm we played Simon Says and Telephone/Gossip (which I assume is the same premise: tell a secret down the line via a whisper, see if the message got delivered correctly and get a lesson from the daycare/camp counselors about how gossiping can cloud the original story as it gets passed from person to person). 😂 I love this movie! Have you watched the Help, the original Color Purple or Eve’s Bayou, yet? Beloved is good, too. American film is a literal treasure trove, my across-the-pond-cousin 🫶🏾
I was like 6 or 7 the first time I watched Norbit. It was great but I didn’t understand anything happening at that age 😂 over the years as I learned more and understood the world a little better, I’d watch it again and understand it more and more in ways I previously didn’t. It was a great day 😂
Can't believe this is your first time watching one of Eddie Murphys films outside of his role as donkey. You gotta react to 'thousand words' , nutty professor',, 'Dr doolittle', 'life', 'harlem nights' and 'haunted mansion❤ he's great in those roles. Nice reaction btw. Loved this movie as a kid. My mom was also a home daycare provider.
I currently work in a before/after school program "daycare" with summer camp and it breaks my heart to know I have to leave them soon, but I always remember this movie when having crazy, sweet, or just funny moments with the kids.
Seb! I’m so glad you watched this! This is a must see from my childhood! The slapstick and the back n forth! Eddie Murphy and Steve Zahn! Are incredible actors! And funny AF!
I found it cool you got Elle Fanning in this and then you also got Max Burkholder, who is young John in the Ted series. And then Jimmy Bennett also has been in a lot of movies I’ve seen. These kids are growing up to be so successful
Daddy Day Care is one of my all time favourites, especially in terms of comfort movies. I'm going through a difficult loss right now and rewatching your commentary to it is bringing me a bit of joy. Thank you Seb 🖤
