I don’t understand the lack of police presence in this case. I’m in Alabama and god when Cupcake McKinney went missing the law enforcement department was front and center daily and was coordinating with other areas law enforcement to find out what had happened. (She was abducted from a birthday party 2 yrs ago. She was 2-3. She was sexually assaulted by a man and woman who were a couple. She was unfortunately thrown in a apartment dumpster and found in a landfill 8 days later ) but our incredible law enforcement even had a man from death row speak to the abductors via live tv to let them know they did not want to kill this child and end up on Alabama’s condemned list and be put to death. To just let the little girl go. (They discovered the identity of the guy within 2 days) Hawkinsville sheriffs dept has been almost silent. Now that Dr Phil is covering the case they are now releasing snippets of commentary to the local news there but still not being any kind of visible force still. Sadly I don’t think they’re capable of solving this baby’s disappearance.

@Backyard this is true. But this is done in many cases! Example Delphi. They’ve still not cleared family but it’s clear to most they’re not guilty except for bashers imo! They’ve been since day one doing EVERYTHING to find the killer (s) interviews, talk shows, news. Fundraisers etc. Darned if they do or don’t 🤷♀️ A lot of cases everyone remains a suspect and LE remains tight lipped for the integrity of the case ♥️
@@Gaming_Watch the episode isn't about law enforcement.... They don't talk to the local PD or TBI so why would that be brought up? The concept of "everyone is a suspect" really means "we have nothing". It doesn't mean they suspect anyone specific. They have no evidence. They have nothing. So it could be anyone. Unfortunately.... But if they did think Don or Candus were guilty, they could easily call them people of interest. They haven't. I think that speaks volumes.
now the longer clips they post are only 14 minutes long 😩 everyone was so happy when they started the 20+ min clips. If they aired on a subscription service I would totally watch it. I think the only one I’ve seen Dr Phil on was the TH-cam one which was $60 🥴
@@LovelyRhodes that’s insane. They went through all the effort of posting polls etc… and then just reverted back anyway 🙄 some of the most recent ones I haven’t even seen the ends of. Also when it’s released over 2/3 days I lose interest/forget about the story. And then if I watch the small clips when the longer one comes out I don’t bother cos it’s littered with what I’ve already seen.
If she gave her boys summer's room after only one month, that alone implies that she knows that summer is gone and not coming back. Any parent, after losing their child, with no answers as to how or why she disappeared, would keep that bedroom as a shrine-- or at least hold out hope that she will be back to use it again. All of their actions just make it seem like they KNOW what happened, and know that there's no chance of her ever coming home.

Because Candus has developmental delays and a drug addiction. Her brain doesn't process this information like you and I. Not everything is a sign of guilt. Candus has an elementary school education. She's terrified that she's going to be blamed because she has drug issues. She breaks down easily. She has the emotional maturity of a child. She has the IQ of a child. You need to meet these people where they are. You can't treat them like PhD candidates. They're not.
Candus uses everything for a excuse. Candus knows right from wrong. She is no dummy. Yes she has drug and alcohol addiction but she is in her right mind. It's all a act. She is a great actress. Allegedly.
The thing that stands out the most to me is that they cleaned up the “playroom”/bedroom AFTER Summer went missing. It did NOT look like that when Summer lived there.

He's a charlatan, who grew his channel to several hundred subscribers on the back of cases such as this. Police and FBI became frustrated by his lies and misdirection. He had done exactly the same with Suzanne Morphew case, throwing spanners in the investigation. He created his own narrative which was often false but satisfied his crazed supporters. As an ex detective, with little experience in major crime. His ego hungered for fame.

Okay but they were asking her very insensitive questions, and when she became upset her husband said “they’re trying to help”. “Well it’s not helping me” is not a terribly inappropriate response to that. Obviously they’re here for Summer, but her husband didn’t say “they’re trying to help Summer”. It’s your opinion if you believe the parents are responsible, but this is just reaching. They were already interrogating her via an incredibly subjective and baseless method of “human lie detectors”, it isn’t like what they were doing and the questions they were asking were genuinely helpful in regards to finding Summer. Based on Dr. Phil’s introduction before that scene, it was implied that those men were there to disprove the folks online claiming they were to blame for Summers disappearance, but then those questions definitely came across as accusatory and seemed to be doing the opposite of what they were claimed to be for. I mean at the end of the day, entertainment tv such as this that’s been highly edited, isn’t a very reliable source of information in these situations.
You said it best. Like a month into her missing the mom shows the house to some TH-cam podcast or whatever like they are long time buds with no problems. The moment she sits down with the Dr. Phil interrogators she’s acting as if she was drunk. I don’t want to come across as downplaying grief but she seemed like an upset drunk “I wanna go home” & refused to talk to them. The parents have to know something that they aren’t admitting to.

I used to babysit 2 girls about 10 years ago. Cps got called on their mother and the grandmother up and moved and left everything in their house..... we lived next to them in a duplex..... and we found out she had taken the girls out of school early and moved to Wisconsin because thats where they had family. The parents stayed here..... which i found really odd... maybe this is what grandma candus did? Maybe she took summer to Wisconsin when she heard of CPS involvement?

I find it really odd that this is not the first person in this family to disappear. All disappearances were associated in some way with the grandma and candus. I hope police get to the bottom of this because it probably won't be the last with this family.

DM says, "I knew she'd been abducted." At that point, he had no way of knowing Summer had been abducted. She could have just been lost in the woods, for all he knew. I found that an odd thing for DW to say.
When my daughter didn't come home on time and she wasn't at her friends house I immediately thought she was abducted and called the police immediately and went driving around and my other daughter went looking on foot with her friends... My oldest daughter and her fiance were out looking... I called my sister and mom and they were out looking... I called everyone I could while driving and looking... I drove up on grass in empty lots and put on my brights looking...we eventually found her and I called police immediately and let them know that I found her... Alive and safe.. Don thought just how I did and to call police immediately. That's normal what he did. Too many evil hateful people on this planet.

In families where smoking/drinking is seen as a “normal” every day thing, older relatives give stuff to younger ones. My family is full of drunks so we all started drinking pretty young.
Why has nobody interviewing Candus asked her about what she said to 911, which was that she went for a walk and when returned to the house she could not find her daughter! I really thought Dr Phil would cover this particular statement to 911 and police which I think is the biggest clue in this whole case!!

Their neighbor and her children heard a chilling scream. How come the mum, Grandma and boys have never said anything about this? This was supposed to have occurred just before they went out to investigate and then Candice was yelling for her daughter. Something is not adding up.

You don't"know" anything of the sort. No-one does and that's the problem. As dire as the situation is there's still the possibility that Summer is alive and being held somewhere by someone. The question is where and with whom? And , worst case scenario being she's deceased then I hope and pray her little body is recovered for everyones' sake that truly care about her and her brothers. It's worrying that there's been hardly any if no information on the case since June 15 however there's always hope.

@@tishwitch I live in poverty and it doesn’t stop me from cleaning the home. I’ll use one rag and a bucket and get on my hands and knees if necessary. Poverty is not why their home was filthy. Mattresses on the floor isn’t an issue but a filthy mattress without sheets is. I hand washed everything with dish soap for a year because I couldn’t afford detergent or a washer and dryer. I think there’s a psychological reason they couldn’t clean. There’s a reason why both Don and Candus lost children to the system years ago and a reason their boys were removed from the home. There’s a whole lot going on that most don’t know about. Check out the TH-cam live videos staring Don and Candus. Check out the audio footage of Candus calling family crying saying Don was arrested for raping his step sister all while Don was right there. These people are psychologically messed up and needed help prior to Summers disappearance.

Seems like alot of selfishness. This should be about finding answers to help summer. Not tip toeing around Candice's feelings. Her saying this isnt helping ME and I'm not going into that, I cant do this, is so troubling. She couldn't do that for her child but she could go around site seeing and post pictures and video on their youtube channel smiling and having a blast while they were there. Also I hope they ask how much research Don did on how to "beat" the guys from the behavior panel. How to not show red flags.

DR Phil, Don went on any and every platform and made himself look bad. I hope you have watched the videos yourself and studied what Don and Candus was up to before they was even near your show. Also what have they done to help find their missing daughter. Did you ask what they did with the fliers they were given to hang up. Well last I was told they wasn't hung the were in the back seat. Not judging but if was my child I would be out with fliers and walking and searching day & night not contacting TH-cam creators.

The 3 boys were removed by CPS! If the parents were guilty the authorities would of been able to get it out of the boys by now! Prayers for this family!
Nothing. No one has been ruled out as a suspect as per LE. Also, they have found no signs of abduction. The tbi has a list of FAQ on their site about Summer Wells.
Neither can keep their story straight. He frequently can’t remember what time Candus called him, in one interview he left in such a panic he left his tools behind . In this interview he threw his tools in the back as fast as he could . His story for ages was he got teased for using Candus’s car on a dirty site, now he’s says he was using it for the week before ( not according to colleagues however ). Candus says she has no idea of time and it could be 2-20 minutes she was with grandma . They did hardly any shopping when they left summer in the car to get groceries, but they called the boys to get the groceries out the car because there was so much of it. Summer didn’t get fed all day- just a slushy and a ‘piece of candy off grandma ‘ and the ‘flowers’ summer was so excited to plant? Cacti . What child likes handling Cacti? Don said he raced home so fast he got there before LE. Then said LE were already at the house so he went looking in sheds on the periphery of the property for Summer. Odd- wouldn’t you hug your wife and check in with ME first? This is just the first half an hr after she supposedly went missing - the lies have continue pile up over the last 5 months 😡

The concept of "everyone is a suspect" really means "we have nothing". It doesn't mean they suspect anyone specific. They have no evidence. They have nothing. So it could be anyone. Unfortunately.... But if they did think Don or Candus were guilty, they could easily call them people of interest. They haven't. I think that speaks volumes.

If she gave her boys summer's room after only one month, that alone implies that she knows that summer is gone and not coming back. Any parent, after losing their child, with no answers as to how or why she disappeared, would keep that bedroom as a shrine-- or at least hold out hope that she will be back to use it again. All of their actions just make it seem like they KNOW what happened, and know that there's no chance of her ever coming home.

The thing that stands out the most to me is that they cleaned up the “playroom”/bedroom AFTER Summer went missing. It did NOT look like that when Summer lived there.

Okay but they were asking her very insensitive questions, and when she became upset her husband said “they’re trying to help”. “Well it’s not helping me” is not a terribly inappropriate response to that. Obviously they’re here for Summer, but her husband didn’t say “they’re trying to help Summer”. It’s your opinion if you believe the parents are responsible, but this is just reaching. They were already interrogating her via an incredibly subjective and baseless method of “human lie detectors”, it isn’t like what they were doing and the questions they were asking were genuinely helpful in regards to finding Summer. Based on Dr. Phil’s introduction before that scene, it was implied that those men were there to disprove the folks online claiming they were to blame for Summers disappearance, but then those questions definitely came across as accusatory and seemed to be doing the opposite of what they were claimed to be for.
I mean at the end of the day, entertainment tv such as this that’s been highly edited, isn’t a very reliable source of information in these situations.

I used to babysit 2 girls about 10 years ago. Cps got called on their mother and the grandmother up and moved and left everything in their house..... we lived next to them in a duplex..... and we found out she had taken the girls out of school early and moved to Wisconsin because thats where they had family. The parents stayed here..... which i found really odd... maybe this is what grandma candus did? Maybe she took summer to Wisconsin when she heard of CPS involvement?

@@tishwitch I live in poverty and it doesn’t stop me from cleaning the home. I’ll use one rag and a bucket and get on my hands and knees if necessary. Poverty is not why their home was filthy. Mattresses on the floor isn’t an issue but a filthy mattress without sheets is. I hand washed everything with dish soap for a year because I couldn’t afford detergent or a washer and dryer. I think there’s a psychological reason they couldn’t clean. There’s a reason why both Don and Candus lost children to the system years ago and a reason their boys were removed from the home. There’s a whole lot going on that most don’t know about. Check out the TH-cam live videos staring Don and Candus. Check out the audio footage of Candus calling family crying saying Don was arrested for raping his step sister all while Don was right there. These people are psychologically messed up and needed help prior to Summers disappearance.

I don’t understand the lack of police presence in this case. I’m in Alabama and god when Cupcake McKinney went missing the law enforcement department was front and center daily and was coordinating with other areas law enforcement to find out what had happened. (She was abducted from a birthday party 2 yrs ago. She was 2-3. She was sexually assaulted by a man and woman who were a couple. She was unfortunately thrown in a apartment dumpster and found in a landfill 8 days later ) but our incredible law enforcement even had a man from death row speak to the abductors via live tv to let them know they did not want to kill this child and end up on Alabama’s condemned list and be put to death. To just let the little girl go. (They discovered the identity of the guy within 2 days)

They aren't acting like people that are hard-core looking for their child. They can go sightseeing etc but anytime someone asks a hard question then come to the tears and being too distraught to help their kid. Give me a break.
If I could not find my child and the police get involved I would ask for a lie detector test for me and husband straight away so that the police can then concentrate on finding the child and not spend wasted time and effort on thinking the parents are involved...
I highly agree. Not only would it help the police look elsewhere, but also get everyone else to focus on the child and not the parents.

As soon as Don seen his boys by the creek, then saw his neighbor he "Knew she was abducted, he knew she was gone" Think about that for a minute. Your wife called and said she was missing and you leave work, come home and your first instinct is...its over? You would think that he may have thought she was lost in the woods or something like that.
I'm sorry but that picture of the room was a total lie! Those children lived in filth! I can't believe they tried to make them out to be clean and good parents. They know what happened to Summer and they need to speak up. I pray that they never get there boy's back. They need held accountable for what they have done to the children.

I noticed a difference in the way she answered "no" to the two questions regarding do you know what happened to Summer. Then she cried and wanted "her" safety net of home. Not at the supposed new sightings area as she tried to say, she said home. I truly think she knows. If she was fixing her mother's knee (?) outside ma's house that faced the entrance where she said Summer went in. Too many lies in her spider's web. Poor Summer. ✝️🛐💟

I can attest to the fact that they have been absolutely crucified by people online. I've seen some horrible lies posted as facts. I can't get over how people can be so cruel. I don't know the truth, you don't know the truth. God knows the truth. We all hope to learn the truth and see justice for Summer. But lies, cruelties, accusations without facts...help nothing... especially doesn't help to find sweet Summer.

DR Phil, Don went on any and every platform and made himself look bad. I hope you have watched the videos yourself and studied what Don and Candus was up to before they was even near your show. Also what have they done to help find their missing daughter. Did you ask what they did with the fliers they were given to hang up. Well last I was told they wasn't hung the were in the back seat. Not judging but if was my child I would be out with fliers and walking and searching day & night not contacting TH-cam creators.

Neither can keep their story straight. He frequently can’t remember what time Candus called him, in one interview he left in such a panic he left his tools behind . In this interview he threw his tools in the back as fast as he could . His story for ages was he got teased for using Candus’s car on a dirty site, now he’s says he was using it for the week before ( not according to colleagues however ).
Candus says she has no idea of time and it could be 2-20 minutes she was with grandma .
They did hardly any shopping when they left summer in the car to get groceries, but they called the boys to get the groceries out the car because there was so much of it.
Summer didn’t get fed all day- just a slushy and a ‘piece of candy off grandma ‘ and the ‘flowers’ summer was so excited to plant? Cacti . What child likes handling Cacti?
Don said he raced home so fast he got there before LE. Then said LE were already at the house so he went looking in sheds on the periphery of the property for Summer. Odd- wouldn’t you hug your wife and check in with ME first?
