What could be better?!? I love Anneke's voice, the way of singing and her attitude, and highly enjoy Ayreons creativity in his compositions. And now they are both one one epic record!
I mean, two! Well, actually, four - because they have also released instrumental versions of both cd's
They lack Anneke, of course, but are very nice anyway.. I had to get this all on cd as soon as i found out!

This really is the best. Each song is a beauty. Such talent. I can't get enough of Arjen.
Never heard Anneke sing so well as on this album
Can't remember the last time I was moved to tears by music. This is perfect.
I think the whole album - ''Gentle' and 'Storm' - is excellent. It has given me more listening pleasure than any other album in the past year or so. The production is outstanding - and not a single synthesizer (although one is used by the live band).

Does anyone recognise the opening refrain of 'The Heart of Amsterdam'? It has re-appeared as part of the epic 'The Day that the World Breaks down' on Ayreon's 'The Source'.
i think this gentle version is much better. the storm version didn't sound neither metal at all nor rock. the symphonic elements there were very straightforward and forced. sounds like they make that version just to please metal fans. I am guessing this gentle version is the first product.
this album reminds me of Anette Olzon 's album. they are beautifully soothing
La verdad no lo había escuchado, pero me pasa que Anneke, me encanta como vocal la sigo desde mucho, pero en este disco no me suena a su identidad ni tono vocal, me suena mas como a Sharon de Within Temptation, es una lastima, no digo que esta mal, pero es difícil entender que es Anneke cantando.
