  • The 308 GTI is the best car Peugeot makes. Full stop.
    It's got a 1.6 litre turbocharged engine, 270bhp, a top speed of 155mph, a 0-60mph time of 6.0 seconds, a Torsen limited slip differential, 380mm Alcon brakes, Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres, and a six-speed manual gearbox. What's not to like?

    Amazing review and what an amazing car. I've seen your video about the 3008 ot was also amazing both the review and the car I really hope that Peugeot will become more popular and the people just forget about the brands history....

    Great Review, enjoyed. 👍🏻
    We are so pleased with our 308 GT Line that In the new year we’re swapping it for the GTI. One question? You mentioned/advised not to go for the 250 but instead go for the 270, a lot I’m finding state the BHP is 260!!?? So are there 3 different BHP or is dealers info wrong?
    Cheers. 👍🏻👊🏼

      My mate has a 2017 pre-facelift (brilliant car btw) and that has 270hp, think the facelift had 266hp because of the wltp (Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure) regs. Hope this helps. 🙂

      Thank you! It drives brilliantly, and has some of the best brakes you'll find on any road car. As for Focus or 308, I personally prefer the interior of the Peugeot (the Ford's centre console is a bit cluttered), think the Peugeot is better looking and drives better, too. BUT it comes down to personal preference. Drive both if you can and go from there, and remember the difference between the 250 and 270. It's worth the extra money. SW

    I think the steering wheel and the one cup holder may put me off 🤣

    • @KING0SISQO
      @KING0SISQO 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The wheel is enjoyable. The cup holder will encourage less food in the car.
      I own one. If I get a new car. I’ll defo miss the steering wheel

      i got one. It's a firm ride, but it's not uncomfortable. You can drive normally in it, but when you want to play, it is very willing to do so. The diff takes a time to get used to. where you normally lift your foot off the throttle in fast turns, you now can floor it, and it starts pulling you back to the inside line, instead of sliding outwards. IT'S FUN

    don't bother with the 270 that's for track not comfortable look at the camera shaking,go for 250

    • @newmotoring
      @newmotoring  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The 250 is marginally more comfortable (smaller wheels), but we were filming on some pretty bumpy UK roads so that doesn't help the camera!

    • @MrRudy580
      @MrRudy580 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      i like my 270. The diff and brakes are usable on public roads. Nothing to do with only track use

    • @scoobz007
      @scoobz007 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s the biggest load of rubbish I’ve ever heard, go for the 270 all day. Why would you want less power, smaller wheels and no diff?? All for the sake of 1500 bags 😂
