To add some more sympathy to Lazy, the backburner's "back" hitbox is actually much smaller than the spy's knife back hitbox. Spy knife gets a the literal back half- 180 degrees- while the backburner only has half the hitbox, with a 90 degree cone behind the player!
My weirdest moment of "What even are hitboxes" in tf2 was when i backstabbed a pyro, who at the exact same time crit backburned me. I still don't know how both could possibly be correct lol.
@@Backofthefacestab my only explanation is that the hitbox started around halfway into spy so the game registered a backburn but it still bs
@@BackofthefacestabI know how it's possible. The backburner uses the direction of the flame PARTICLES, not the player, meaning that you can bounce them off of walls (or even floors) and get crits at weird angles.

Fun fact: When Slenderman came around I got reallly into it. I did research, watched a bunch of gameplay, fan made videos, movies, songs. Even put it on my bucklist to draw a bunch of Slenderman's notes from the game & put them in random places around town, which I have not done yet.

@@theduckgoesmoo imagine soundsmith playing beggars, but add in super high crazy jumps, surfs, syncs, airshots, all of it to market garden people. that's blindpyro in a nutshell, and his music + editing combine to make a really great entertaining video, if i were to reccomend what clip to watch first it would be his latest, its insane. (and the music he uses may or may not be copyright material sooo yea) even if you can't react to it to copyright stuff, still reccomend to watch him in your free time, he's an absolute legend.
The backburner and Spy's knife have completely different back detection mechanics. For one, Spy's knife is far more forgiving for the Spy, with 65% of the enemy hitbox counting as the "back".
Yet I can still never get a backstab

you should react to After Breakfast with Squimjim’s TF2 Histories series (I recommend in release order), TF2 vs TFC series, and his TF2 Highest and Lowest Damage series.
Power jack THEN deployed makes you go faster on kill with it +25 health but you take more damage. Note that only then deployed so it’s straight upgrade from stock fireaxe

Also if you wanna react to another Lazypurple Video, I'd suggest watching "The Feature-Length TF2 Clip-Dump" by him. Its an hour long so you might have have to only do part of the video or cut it up into snippets, but just watching The Spy part is worth it tbh.

Granted if you want a suggestion you could do what Wraith2501 did with his reaction and merely not show the video and advise your viewers to go click on the video and put it in the box where videos usually are. That way you AND Him are getting views. That or just reacting to a snippet of it would probably be okay with Lazy too, but thats just a suggestion, you do you bro. I Understand sense TH-cam copywrite is strict and wanting to respect someone else's wishes too.

Anyways, don't really have too much to comment on about this extras, the extras videos are definitely great and i definitely think you are going to enjoy the demoman one quite a bit.
I think for TF2 videos that i have nothing really to comment on, i'll just leave random bits of fun fact since i really don't want to be forever known as just the commenter who requested the comics, so Random TF2 fun fact of the day #1:
Miss pauling was secretly in the meet the team videos, specifically she was in Meet the Medic. During the part where heavy's heart explodes and the chunk of it hits Archimedes, you can see Paulings shadow behind the upstairs window, taking notes on the Medics experiment. this shadowed model used for her is an extremely early prototype design for the character, and is one of the few SFM models made by valve that we know of to not be made available to the general public when SFM became usable for anyone.

@@theduckgoesmoo used to be an old school tf2 TH-camr but then he swapped over to overwatch and later to fortnight (he might be one off the reasons the rivelary between tf2 and overwatch was so big)

Man this video doesn’t show the HORRROR that was the phlox buff. So no one REALLY used the Phlog except to cheese because it’s really easy to kill a pyro while their taunting especially because everyone could hear where you were. So valve decided to buff it. And lord have mercy was it op. So when you popped the phlog not just did you become invincible while taunting but it HEALED YOU TO FULL. It got the phlog banned in competitive, caused servers of phlog pyros to swarm the battlements and broke everything pretty hard. They removed the heal and now it’s in the spot that it is now but MAN was it not a good time to be anything but a pyro main in those times
There is an actual tf2 game in roblox, its actually really good, and pretty funny voicelines
