Great video and recap! Just a correction about Woodstock to clear up any confusion. The audience hadn't left, they fell asleep. Fogerty in past interviews was discouraged that the Dead had put the audience to sleep that John wasn't hearing the normal response from an audience in between songs so much that thought they weren't loud enough, continuing to ask "is this thing on?" He still jokes to this day that one person way out in the field yelled, "We're with you, John!" So he said he felt while he was at Woodstock, he played for "that guy".
And to be fair to the Grateful Dead, there were a lot of rain delays before they went on, which even caused a few electric shocks when they tried to play their instruments after the rain. It led to CCR not hitting the stage until about 1:30am.
Credence is one of the grearest bands ever despite their personal dramas I loved when Tom was with them When I play a open jam I always start with suzie Q in the E minor pentatonic Nothing better!!!!😊
So many people have seen john in his later years. Not realizing just how important he is to american music. His power for destroying the audience may be less than it used to be. He is in the pantheon of the greatest musical artist this world has ever known. No joke
I was 12 years old in 1968 and from the beginning a big fan of CCR. I couldn't hear their music often enough and even after all these years I still play their records regularly. I also have everything on cd and new pressing on 180 grams. But when I really want to listen I pick up the very first records with the clicks and small scratches. Wonderfully sinking away in a great time when CCR was the top that music had to offer. Too bad it went like that then. Much more beautiful music could have followed.
Another correction, Tom was rhythm guitarist, only! John was lead guitarist as well as singer, writer, arranger and producer. You made it sound like Tom was lead guitarist, which he was not!

I'm Glad you didn't took the easy way by demonizing Stu, Tom and Doug, it's a situation where everyone did and said stupid things and it's a shame the 4 of them could never settle it...
The massive FAIL known as "Mardi Gras" was not only the straw that broke the band up, but was a crystal clear illustration that Stu Cook and Doug Clifford were NOT the brilliant singers and songwriters they thought themselves to be.
8#1 songs??? They didn't even have ONE #1 song! lol. They had 5 #2 songs in America. So close, but, couldn't get the #1 spot. CCR did have 2 #1 albums in America, Green River (1969) and Cosmo's Factory (1970).
He may have commanded a higher concert performance fee but l believe CCR was the highest grossing group in concert in 1969 perhaps because of more concert dates.
There’s no way CCR are the biggest band ever. We have The Beatles and that’s it. They tried to be the best band ever but could never reach The British Invasion type of music.
A small error at the start of the video the (0:06) they disbanded in 1972 not 1962 but other than that great video
From 1968 to 1962. I grew up listening to this band.
LOL. Me too.
Looks like in addition to their other achievements, CCR invented time travel.

CCR Loves!

Once Alan Klein is involved, it always seems like its going to go downhill
Gee I wonder what religion he is hmmmmmm 🤔
@@thedadyouneverhadchannel3544 Meaning what wiseguy? Gee we wonder about your ignorant, bigot prejudices. LOL!
Still one of my favorites
Nice overview. Well done.
That was an awesome video. Thank you
Good video, Seen Creedence 3 times, photos whit the band, awesome band
Wow! What a band!!
The CCR performance at Woodstock was the best of the bunch.
Bruce Springsteen's induction speech for Credence into the RR Hall of Fame is mandatory viewing for all Creedence fans.
From 1968-1962. Didn't realize it was possible to release 7 albums in -6 years
That’s what makes CCR so much more impressive.
From 1968 to 1962, lol, ✅

Awesome. Given how clear they recordings sound it would be great to have an insight on their recording process.
Check out HANOI ROCKS Up Around the Bend song! They even had a video in 1985 on mtv. Funnily while " Centerfield" was a big hit!!
Another correction, Tom was rhythm guitarist, only! John was lead guitarist as well as singer, writer, arranger and producer. You made it sound like Tom was lead guitarist, which he was not!
What a fantastic video have a wonderful day also today is my friends birthday ❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

CCR is a good choice! I would suggest doing a vid on Mick Taylor with the Stones?
You know you are looking at shoddy work when there is glaring error in the first 8 seconds.
As a fan I can't care about the off stage hassle. It's about the music

No lose, ¡¡lo averiguaremos!!
pero en una digo: ahora sí se viene lo chido...

Not playing 🍏’s & 🍊’s…CCR were on a scary run of top notch hits & records, right about the time the Beatles dismantled.

The massive FAIL known as "Mardi Gras" was not only the straw that broke the band up, but was a crystal clear illustration that Stu Cook and Doug Clifford were NOT the brilliant singers and songwriters they thought themselves to be.
Super Great band, better style than Beatles; more movement, better lead singer and still going.
8#1 songs??? They didn't even have ONE #1 song! lol. They had 5 #2 songs in America. So close, but, couldn't get the #1 spot. CCR did have 2 #1 albums in America, Green River (1969) and Cosmo's Factory (1970).
Jimi Hendrix is the highest paid concert artist in 1969
He may have commanded a higher concert performance fee but l believe CCR was the highest grossing group in concert in 1969 perhaps because of more concert dates.
Some people can’t handle fame they could have made more great music

Highest grossing tour group of 1969.
Ccr was way better than the Beatles. The Beatles were fake
@@davidjackson7281 Most record sales too, in 69/70
Come on now! The biggest band in the world? Really! Well, your opinion, of course. Great band? Yes! But biggest? Come on now!
For a very short time.
Certainly the biggest American band.
Greed and egos
So that's what killed the band. I did not know they hired Allen Klein. He killed the Beatles. So naturally...he killed CCR
I mean… Saying Klein killed The Beatles is like saying Yoko killed The Beatles. There were many factors that killed them.
@@vintagemax Well... He didn't help the situation either.
