In this talk titled ‘The Three Phases of Baha'i Marriage’, shared in Victoria, Canada on 27 February, 2014, Dr. Hossain Danesh shares some personal reflections on Baha'i marriage.
Dr. Hossain Danesh was the Founder and President of the International Education for Peace Institute, and was a professor of Psychiatry (University of Ottawa) and Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution (Landegg International University), and the author of many articles and 11 books in his fields of specialization. When I was sixteen years of age, I found my beloved and most importantly, THE Beloved. Forty-seven years later, and through the sweet and the challenging times, and through the evolution of both of us, we have come to understand how the focus of unity in our marriage has changed the 'me' to 'us'. This brings peace to our home and strengthens us as individuals. We both respect the other's process. Thank you for this talk, especially the insights on power.
