Montana Termite here. I have worked for NPS in Yellowstone and also have family that work for the NPS. As odd as sometimes seems from an outside interest perspective, location or additional info isn't made public for the protection of 'special' animals. Speaking from personal experience, it's AMAZING how foolish people can be. (I don't like to say dumb or stupid because I generally believe people are well intentioned, but lack knowledge or experience that can have horrible consequences.) Case in point, there have been several of instances of folks putting baby bison or other wildlife into their vehicles for the sake of 'helping'. People will participate in watch groups for wolves, but leave litter or food items that can be unwittingly harmful. Yellowstone is a WILD place. It's super cool, but there are rules and limitations for very good reasons.

The last vacation rental we stayed at not only charged us a "cleaning fee," and had a list of cleaning stuff we had to do, but then they also instructed us to leave a tip for their cleaners. Um, no. I paid you a cleaning fee. You pay your cleaners.

Oh, yes! Do a deep dive on liquor laws! I grew up in VA with the ABC store. Then moved to CA and could buy liquor in a gas station at midnight! What?!?! But I haven’t compared buying a bottle in a store vs buying a drink in a restaurant/bar. 😳
Just stayed at an AirBnB condo in Telluride over Memorial Day Weekend because it was a good halfway point to meet up with my niece. In some ways, a hotel or motel is much easier... IF available. This option was cheaper than the hotels, even with the cleaning fee, which seemed to be the norm expected for that area. Overall, it worked out great and the owners were MUCH more flexible than your crazy lady. But it seemed like most of the surrounding condos were empty. I don't know how they will be able to afford to keep it going unless they make tons of $$$ during the ski season.
I like the AirBnB & VRBO options, but agree that cleaning fees are out of control. I don't think they should be outlawed, because they help offer options that rival the corporate resorts.

Pennsylvania has THE WORST liquor laws!!!!! Wine and Spirits owned by govt. Beer by the case or you can only carry out a 12 pack (if the place has hot food). Very complicated... you have to go to several stores to get all you need.
If you live near an airport - take your dogs and hang out in the car in the cell phone area or other waiting area. Fireworks are not allowed in the fly zones. I did this for years with my huskies. Hung out and watched my IPAD while my neighborhood lit off fireworks like we were little Beruit. Also, ppl should be more considerate of our vets and pets. Drugs did not work! YES! I rescued my neighbor's dog who was running down the street they will escape in their panic to get away from the noise.

There's many bagel places around here in South Florida and the 3336 area that all the EX Dolphin players have opened their own little restaurants in bagel shops well they always have wine and they always have like truly or whatever and they served us at 8:00 in the morning no problem. Because we work down the street from them we take care of them in the hospital and it's 8:00 a.m. was our happy hour time 😅. 10:30 Beryl is now a 4..NOT COMING to miami🙏🏻
