Comments through 19:30 (repeat from prior post) This is the second printing of RS, which combined CoB and GH. The only significant difference from the first printing is the inclusion of Hell’s Corner. The sticker is on the box to show that it includes Hell’s Corner (so we didn’t have to change the box back in the reprint). The contents of the box are carefully arranged to minimize shifting during shipping. The eASLRB already contains the most up-to-date Chapter G and Japanese/Chinese Chapter H. Comments after 19:30 (new) Originally, the Gavutu-Tanambogo map was overlays on Ocean overlays. In Rising Sun, we made it an actual mapsheet. Three of the Hell’s Corner scenarios were originally in Operation Watchtower on geoboards with overlays. Nice clean job of overview.
Yep, just unboxed mine to replace my 30 year old CoB and Gung Ho. Very impressed. Between BV, Yanks, Rising Sun, Croix de Guerre, and Hollow Legions, I reckon there are enough official scenarios to keep me busy for the next few years if not decades, and that's not counting the amazing Valor of the Guards and Red Factories Historical modules.
By far the best ASL module in my collection. Croix de Guerre was epic, but this one is mucho mas epic. So glad I per-ordered this and it was absolutely worth the money. Thanks for the unboxing video, sir! Now they need to reprint Doomed Battalions!!!

I was not going to get this updated module, but between the Hell's Corner addition and what appears to be a number of updated scenario cards, I will probably purchase it.
Enjoyed the video. I never thought I would be interested in PTO because the beach battles always looked too tight/constrained, but I learned there is a lot of variety.
I kinda want to try ASL but does this box got the rulebook ? I’ve read that you still have to buy it separately… is this serious ?! Because for a 200$ game that would be impressive …
Unfortunately no, the rulebook is sold separately. but you can download the ASL Starter Kit rules for free on MMP's website. It's ASL "light" but all the fundamentals of the system are there. Go to my website for a full breakdown of what ASL is and what you need. Link to the site is in the video description.
@@ASLAcademy Thanks for the info. Seems odd for MMP to prioritize reprinting modules that have requirements for other long-OOP modules. But I hear Yanks is rumored to go into pre-order before the end of the year, so fingers crossed.

And here I`m...fighting battles in Starter kit 1 and 2 🤣. This is just too big for me but looks amazing. Thx for unboxing.
