    Symptoms of fault:
Is your vehicles air suspension rising slowly, noisily, or perhaps failing to rise at all? EAS Amber light lit? Fault code C1A20, C1A1364, C50, or C1A20-64 showing? One or more of these errors: “Suspension error only normal height available” “Suspension fault; pressure not rising quick enough” Or “Pressure does not decrease when venting gallery”?
    The fault:
The piston seals within your vehicles EAS air compressor are likely worn, filters saturated and the dryer end cap failing reducing output significantly.
The likely cause of the faults noted above and most common cause is a worn piston and glide ring within the air suspensions compressor unit. Coupled with saturation of the filters in the compressors drier unit. This results in reduction of compressor output and triggers vehicle faults as well as extending the time taken to lift the vehicle. The original design for the dryer end cap was poor and cracks can develop around the air line collets causing leaks and vehicle faults.
    The solution:
Fit our improved design dryer end cap, piston seal and filter kit and restore your compressor to full health
Our complete kit includes all needed to restore your compressor to full health. Our kit includes a new improved design glide ring and piston ring, constructed to the finest of tolerances from improved materials to restore full output. Also included is two custom tools to allow easy replacement of these seals.
Full filter replacement kit to allow you to replace all filters and drying beads within the drier unit, the original filters saturate quickly and drastically effect output, our improved replacements will solve this problem.
This kit includes a new improved design dyer end cap, re-designed and engineered to not fail again. A simple straight swap for the old dryer end cap. Made from billet aluminium with a Viton seal to provide a perfect long lasting seal with the dryer canister. Improved metal collets and materials, designed to never fail again.
Our kit is the most comprehensive on the market, not only does it include everything listed above, but also includes end cap plugs so whilst the compressor is off the vehicle, you can test it for any air leaks. Also 2 x air line collets, the all-important relay (Land Rover recommend you change this when refurbishing/replacing the compressor) and a complete repair kit for the non-return valve including the screw itself, as this can often break during refurbishment.
    Vehicles affected:
    Land Rover Discovery MK3
    2005 to 2009
    Land Rover Discovery MK4
    2009 to 2012
    Ranger Rover Sport
    2005 to 2013
    Range Rover L322
    2006 to 2009
    Original Hitachi Compressor Only
If the compressor has been changed in vehicles life to a different compressor our kit will not repair this. It is worthwhile checking the compressor is as illustrated to the left (see instructions on how to access compressor) Associated part numbers, our kit will only repair Hitachi compressor. This was fantastic. Bought the repair kit off eBay and my amber light hasn't come on again so I am very pleased. The felt filter for in between the two plates in the air dryer was too small and wouldn't work with the rubber seal so just used my old one but this repair kist probably saved me close to $2,000 Australian. Thanks guys. By the way, the seal at the top of the piston is not easy to get off, this video made it look easier than it was.

Thanks for the vid. Just refitted mine as well as the dryer beads, filters, gaskets and new aluminum cover. RRS SC feels much much better and compressor adjusts ride height much faster!

THANK YOU!! I just rebuilt a working compressor for the second time by mixing pulling together parts from used compressor the dealership tosses out. This video has probably saved me $2,000!

THanks - is the seal at the bottom of the cylinder not critical to replace?

I bought this kit with the filter desiccants and seals. I also had to buy a new piston and piston rod since the ball bearing disintegrated. When I installed the glide ring I could not get it to fully seal, meaning that both ends of ring do not touch when wrapped around to lower section of the piston. Is the glide ring more for guiding the rod/piston inside the cylinder or does it also help with creating air pressure? The reason I ask is because when I installed the rebuilt compressor it doesn’t seem to provide air pressure to raise the suspension. The compressor runs for 2 seconds, shuts down, then restarts for 10 more seconds and then shuts down/amber light comes on. I can turns off ignition and the process repeats itself. During all these attempts the suspension does not raise a bit, not even a centimeter. Anyone have any experience with a similar case?

I did. It's sad because while throwing the error eventually, my car worked before. It's toast now.

I can’t believe there’s no lubrication inside that compressor!
