You just knew that when Fox resurrected the vaunted RX name, the alarms would be pretty awesome, we mean, they had to be, right? After all, the original Micron RX Digitals bite alarms are still in active service today, and many consider them to be the ultimate alarm! Of course, Fox has released some fabulous alarms since the original RX - look no further than the NTX-R, an alarm that has found favour with loads of top carp anglers that we can think of (many of whom have no carp fishing sponsorship ties with Fox at all). Well, after a hush-hush testing period that has seen the new RX+ alarms tested to destruction, we’re pleased to be getting a privileged first look and here's what we made of them...

Thanks to Corona I have resorted to pretending to get runs in my living room, Fox RX+ are the best alarms on the market by far, I miss them waking me up in the middle of the night with screaming takes! I may have to get the Mrs to do some test runs through the night to keep me on my toes! 😊
Just got these mate and I've been playing with them but if you give it run to simulate a carp run I noticed the alarm colour changes from my red selected colour to blue and you have to turn it off to reset to red only when you give it a fast take all 3 are the same
@@thecarpfather5757 No they shouldn't do that, check other videos on youtube, possibly not tuned them in correctly!
@@RodDuster I literally turned one on to play with it like a kid I turned the volume up and sensitivity was quite high changed the colour to red and used a bit of paper to give an indication front and back all good pulled it a bit faster and it was ok pulled it like a carp would on a one toner and the led changes to blue it does this on any of the colours always goes back to blue is there a way to lock it to red as once it goes to blue the colour select button doesn't do anything so I have to switch it off and on and it comes back on red

Hard to knock these alarms. Fox or Delkims, the rest are also rans.
So where does one purchase the frameworks that the bite alarms are 'screwed onto' or what are they called so I will know what to search for?
It's called a rodpod. But you could also screw them into a single stick, called a bank stick. Both are sold in every angling shop.
Anybody knows what´s that infraport like window on the receiver for?
It is for future products such as bivvy lights to switch on when you get a run. The lights on the receiver come on so you can get your glasses easily off the bivvy table during the night. Fox did do a Halo Bivvy light that switched on when alarms activated a long time ago with previous alarms.
Smart I'll stick to my TXI's tho.

The last thing you’ll be wanting to hear in the middle of the night is the anti theft sound going off!!!
That's why these days a bat and 2 dogs are good for theives .Bat the bastards then let the dogs bite the fuck out if them then drown the cunts.

@@jasonantigua6825 exsperenced worst scenario's than a scrote trying to nick my gear, I have no fear and no apathy PTSD to the bone m8, I garrentee they walk around in the day and look for easy meat probably know I'm tooled up ready 😁, always fished on my own and fished some proper rough places where tackle thefts are common, do they really want to mess with a scarred up old massive pitball nope 💪😉
