I had booked my XUV300 car yesterday. After a intense research and test drives of ecosport, nexon and even verna (Which is not a suv).....After taking 2 test drive of xuv300 petrol........ I was really impressed with the engine performance and drove the car at 140 in just few sec......The pick up of petrol engine is awesome.... And seating on drivers seat gives a real suv feel....Offcourse it is a big car..... Features are awesome...... I bought W8 petrol which I think is value for money varient..... And costs me 1183000 on road varanasi. If u r looking for compact suv then obviously Xuv300 is awesome(Both diesel and petrol). I feel only 1 problem in the car. Rear seat thigh support......Mahindra should work on it.. Believe me friends mahindra had changed it's standard.. Now u can proudly chose Mahindra over any foreign brand.

Mileage will be low for petrol. Go for nexon diesel xm.
ultt ance I am not worried for milage , if there is 15 km/ltr on highway that will be enough for me because my running is not more .
Refinement level is always issue for me .
There is only 40 decibel noise in cabin .
@@aniltripathi7819 with the ac on and a full load, I wonder if the 3 cylinder 200 nm torque turbo engine will return a milage of 15 kmpl. City mileage would be under 10 kmpl. Reason why Mahindra is quiet on the arai figures.

I had booked for w8(0) petrol but as a concern I took a test drive of scross, eco sport and creta today itself including xuv. I was shocked with refienment. Finalized my xuv booking today itself. Really loved it among all.

These (petrol or diesel) are basics and I guess I don't need to tell that to any car guy except people like you who think if someone has not mentioned everything he is faking. I have taken the test drive cause of it's plush interior and ease of after sale's services cause nexa showroom is next to my house. I'm not writing a full review where One need to mention everything.

Need Suggestions : I am planning to buy XUV300 W8(O) MT Petrol, and took a test Drive on last Saturday. It was an amazing experience except one thing, I have faced some issues related to the gear knob vibration, mainly when the car is in 1st gear and not moving. When the car started moving the vibration is zero/negligible.
I want to know if it is a common problem for all the XUV300 versions or not ? If not then possibly the test drive car have some problems.

Very nice video. I have driven the Petrol XUV 300 but dint get a chance to drive the diesel, and i loved the petrol (very torque). So, my question is how does the petrol compare to the diesel? Is it worth getting the diesel for just 61k (my city price difference on-road) (Irrespective of my driving). Can you give me an average figure of boths mileage?
And which would you chose in my place?
Diesel has even superior mid range and gives a feel of peppy kick in mid range. Even more to enthu drive
In Mileage anything around 11 Kmpl in XUV300 in city condition to be reasonable expectation and anything around 14 Kmpl in Diesel

Both Engines are world class. But somehow Ecosport feels marginally better in pep but basis suspension, steering feedback and overall drive-ability xUV300 remains as top spot. Net all - you cant go wrong with either

Ecosport is good, but Ecosport Ecoboost is what the signature performance, if not that then XUV300 W8 Option is good to go

I have taken a test drive of both petrol and diesel.
Frankly speaking after driving petrol variant...I am in love with this car. No matter it is 3 cylinder or 4 cylinder as the power delivery is linear. There is no turbo lag and to my wonder this engine is very silent and very refined one.
Just want to know the real figure of mileage because my monthly running is around 1800-2000 kms.
anything around 12 kmpl should be a reasonable expectation
If your run is more than 1500kms monthly then don't buy petrol it is not cost effective. Go for diesel.
And consider boot space to its competition before booking.

After one week of confusion I gone for mahindra xuv 300.
I appreciate Tata for tremendous growth with launch. But coming to Xuv300 if u watch while moving vehicle u will feel like u r sitting on horse and smooth driving externally people will see u as king is moving in a wonderful car. Believe me friends the test drive I done 2 times with xuv 300 and I took finally Xuv 300 instead of sonet(Internall put up with Features) , ecosport( long distance service centers) nexon( still won't feel as premium and luxurious car)

Lot lot difference, XUV is pitched against Ecosport. Still - if basis sheer performance, pep then Ford 1.5 TDCI despite of lower torque feels marginally better in performance pep against XUV300 Diesel. But suspension, steering with mode, braking experience in XUV seems even better

@@mycarhelpline Thanks for your prompt response, didn't expect it! Yesterday till quite late I was watching your (and some other reviews) :). Do you think they have 1. Cut down the boot too much (while I understand they were using Ssangyong's base and it had to be a sub 4m car for the segment, so they had only boot to compromise I guess); 2. No rear AC vents at this price(considering quite big difference in price in petrol even high ends). If the questions are too much, please ignore, but I guess you understand for the first time buyer there are many variables to go over before making the last choice of investing the money :)
