And when you have Arijit, Atif, Mohit, Javed, Shreya, Sunidhi all in the same album, you already know it's gonna be nothing short of EPIC. This deserves more recognition than all those remakes we're getting. If we don't appreciate good music, I fear we're gonna stop getting it. So far many movies have been made on Kashmir or in Kashmir but this one gives actual feel of current Kashmir. Kashmir is beautiful and so are Kashmiris. Kashmiris mostly are shown in negative way but this movie did not show any thing wrong about Kashmir or Kashmiris but a simple love story of a Kashmiri boy with a Kashmiri girl in a normal but beautiful way. Each and every song of this movie is great, especially the lyrics matches the circumstances and the timing of the songs doesn't feel forced. Loved the movie. After a long, after watching a lot of Hollywood movies (cos my faith from Bollywood is lost) came back to watch Laila Majnu and Imtiaz and Sajid Ali doesn't disappoint me. These movies are meant for audiences like us, who just don't watch movies for entertainment purpose, but to feel emotionally. These actors should get more chance, in the age of nepotism and big producers launching star kids. Bollywood should make more movies that fills heart and not pocket.

Over the course of almost 43 minutes, I've managed to feel a rollercoaster of emotions. Last time an album hit me like this, Rockstar had released. My heart aches and yet somehow it's brimming with so much love. Two years, and still magical. ♥️

Very experimental songs. People who are more into classical music, slow music will love this album. Unfortunately, such people aren't many. I personally think the songs are quite melodious and it's a treat to hear the musical instruments with such clarity. After a long time, we are getting such an album which is very different from today's commercial songs.

But i guess theres time in that because there are only a handful of people who are willing for this enriching and soulful movie experience and maybe thats the reason this movie still hasnt got the appreciation that its truly deserves.

The tune shifts in the songs are unpredictable and often there comes a point in the songs when some frequencies get synced and your eyes get welled up.. When the right note hits you, the music kills you. You get shifted to some other world. It's transcendental
It has been only a week and I have already watched it three times. Don’t know why it didn’t perform well in box office, but for me it is one of the best movie. Every time I watch it I cry at the two same scene, one is when Qais meets laila after 4 years of seperation and the another one is towards its ending. And I just keep smiling at the beginning when Qais start chasing laila.
The most wonderful album of this year till now. So much of variety it has. And its full of wonderful voice of freaking talented singers. Just enjoying it.

While watching movie, I had thought that the actors playing role of Qais and Laila (Avinash and Tripti) are actually Kashmiri but later I found that they are not. They beautifully performed their roles like they actually are Kashmir. It never felt like the lead role players are not Kashmiri.
And what a character the lead actor is in. His expressions, his voice, style, everything is at the exact place as it should be in a great movie. Regretting not watching it in theatres.
One of the best films of 2018. Even though both Tripti and Avinash proved their mettle, they still have to prove themselves with each movie compared to the STAR kids. At least they should get some recognition. The music album is so different and refreshing. But, sadly no one gave it's due.
'Tum' for me. Driving in the valley by the side of a stream and then it starts snowing. The ensuing black and white adds a whole new dimension to the external scenery but, the love tormented soul goes into a further freeze.

While watching movie, I had thought that the actors playing role of Qais and Laila (Avinash and Tripti) are actually Kashmiri but later I found that they are not. They beautifully performed their roles like they actually are Kashmir. It never felt like the lead role players are not Kashmiri.
I think this album is underrated ..aur music lovers jo different aur classical music sunte hai unhe pasand aayegi..
And what a character the lead actor is in. His expressions, his voice, style, everything is at the exact place as it should be in a great movie. Regretting not watching it in theatres.
One of the best films of 2018. Even though both Tripti and Avinash proved their mettle, they still have to prove themselves with each movie compared to the STAR kids. At least they should get some recognition.
The music album is so different and refreshing. But, sadly no one gave it's due.

Yes the over rated album of gully boy has a million views but this gem released a year before than gully boy still reached half a million.

'Tum' for me. Driving in the valley by the side of a stream and then it starts snowing. The ensuing black and white adds a whole new dimension to the external scenery but, the love tormented soul goes into a further freeze.
I cant get rid from this movie. Each song makes me cry every time and here after watching the movie its my routine to come here and play the jume box
