I’ve done university with 8 sims. I put them in a club, have “do homework” as an activity, and use Rally the Troops regularly. I also add skill boosts for their course topics. If they live in the dorm I give non-occults bikes. I also open the Job tab and spacebar between Sims to check their course status, and vampires take a popup mixology table and make sunlight reversal cocktail and have an umbrella. Homework boost (the club perk) seems to help with university homework.
Also, vampires, alas, are suicidal. They like to sit in the sun and play violin, do homework, etc. Sunlight reversal cocktail. I also find foul language helps (me). 😉 They only die in the sun if their vampire energy is empty, so have them dark meditate a lot.

There is a mod I CANNOT live without called "Vampiric Self Preservation" that basically helps prevent sunshine suicide. If you're on PC and like playing with Vampires, I highly recommend it

Once that is unlocked, you can read it with a vampire pretty much indefinitely to keep refilling the meter for skill points gain... I had the day off from work yesterday irl, and had my new vampire start reading in the morning... By noon he had all the skills he could possibly get

a few things that can make your life at university easier: - buy a bike to go faster from place to place, especially at campus - buy earplugs and have them turned on (do not choose the "listen to" option because they are not doing anything else). even if they are turned on but your are doing something else, the fun need goes up! - waffle maker and pressure cookers are allowed in the dorm and they let you have real food with barely any effort, especially in the case of waffles
@@joanneishify You can't already have it in the building, and have to take it with you when you leave, but you can probably have a sim carry it in in their inventory because you can do that with campfires last I checked. If it's not patched out, you should be able to take anything that can be drug into personal inventory.
I recently did a uni playthrough with my sim and discovered that it's actually fun if you completely rebuild their dorm to be usable (it's not worth challenging yourselves by accepting the default state of it, trust me) with all the amenities, and also the crystals from the crystal pack are a must - especially the faster sleep one and the faster homework one! I've had this pack since the release though and to this day still haven't encountered the secret society :(
you need to make an offering to your university statue to meet the secret society, usually an excellent dessert works. then someone in the special clothes will show up at your dorm/lot and you can talk to them and ask to enter. honestly I've played it and it's just one more thing to worry about during the term.

I love how fast it devolved from "Trying to make 8 sims make it through university at once" to "Competition to see which sim manages to finish university" Honestly, the badly met needs, constant pressure and stress really sell it like a realistic uni experience
Funnily enough, I never had a hard time playing with sims at university, but then I remember that I never just make a young adult sim and make them go to university, it’s always sims that I’ve raised since they were born so they already have plenty of skills maximize, extra traits and stablished connections, which takes away most (if not all) of the challenge

Here are the tips to make this go successfully. uni typically takes 4 years. Take 3 courses each for 4 terms, not 4 courses for 3 terms. I have always considered 4 terms to be "normal" in the sims for university. Build a house first so that they are not in dorms and can just disappear to class. They can each have a dedicated space in their room for presentations so they dont get lost. You can keep a buffet table in the common area. You can use lot traits like study spot to speed up homework time. Get all the sims to level 6 Research and Debate as teens or before beginning uni. At level 6, they gain the ability to do presentations and papers much faster. Even at level 3, they gain speed at completing homework. For the vampire.... at least get them sun resistance lol

Oh I did this recently! It was actually really fun. The hardest part was also my vampire who had an extra weakness to the sun and kept trying to risk his life just to be early to class... but the flying places as a bat and not sleeping much was definitely helpful. I wouldn't recommend a werewolf though, regular sims are irritable enough in college with their chronically low fun needs, you don't need them to be mad at literally everything and then turn into a giant dog and attack their roommates.
On the upside, any spellcaster with the needs potion has a serious boost if they can get a cauldron on their lot lol. Even if not, they can bop into the magic realm, brew the potions for everyone and probably study there too.

I used to do a lot of University, but I built an off campus house to use as a "dorm." So much easier because they could actually cook and would just teleport to class. I'd run 4 at a time and always start the semester on Tuesdays.
If u have Get Together, you can make club to do homework. Once u get enough club points you can buy the do homework faster perk. That coupled with the “study spot” trait make getting a degree do much easier!
I was thinking about that too. NEVER go triple-speed in University, especially with this many Sims. You won't be waiting that long between all of them. Also someone else mentioned the club system with those skill boosts and well, since she was at the library, she could've made sure the lot traits had multiple boosts to skill gains! I think it's a uni study spot by default but might as well boost art and cooking or maybe coding.
In my game, I've also noticed that they seem to lock up/stand there doing nothing/glitch much more frequently when I speed things up too soon. It helps mine a lot to let the action begin first before changing the speed.
This is honestly my favorite way to play University, but I add MORE chaos by giving them all jobs (either part time or WFH) AND give them social lives. I also don't play with autonomy, so it's chaos level 100.
I once had a presentation disappear out of my sim's inventory, I had to get a specific mod to fix it. This challenge is extreme, I need to try it - university is so stressful in this game! But I'm always up for testing my sim's limits, they can always accomplish more than you expect.
Im currently playing with 8 sims in university and i had to make the homework go faster, i do 4 classes so i can get out fast lol. But what i recommend is enrolling on the weekend to have those 2 days to do the presentations and term papers 😅
You can get the presentation board by emailing your professor. Click on a computer>University>Email professors about progress...then select the class you lost your presentation board for. You will get a notification about your progress like normal but it will also add another presentation board in your inventory
I always put the dining room thing in the dorms - it still works, the staff will turn up at the right times. It's not free, which is unfortunate, but it's very handy.
I love playing as vampire sims because they don't age so you have way more time to finish your career, aspirations, skill gain. etc. They also don't need to sleep much at all, which is another bonus. The sun isn't a huge issue once you get use to playing them, I just make a bunch of the anti-sun cocktails. And if you get tired of them being the same age you can just cure it. Its an underrated occult solely for the perks it comes with, mainly being needing no sleep and no aging.
every household i make in the sims is FULL. the amount of times i quit and don’t save after losing a child due to neglect(not doing their homework😭) is insane
it would be fun if you built a house for this challenge, thinking about what would make it easier. best tv next to the food, the best beds, maybe some lights that effect their mood. the same as the best 100 baby house with the tub in the middle of the room.

It's hectic controlling >2 sims in University. You did awesomely great. I once remake the library into a performance center for all the skills. + a hidden room to sleep & woohoo. They are young adult anyway.
I usually buy my college sims earphones and have them listen to music while studying. Same with adult sims who are doing their work assignments. That tends to solve my fun need problems, plus sometimes their wants so they don't get the fear of unfulfilled dreams (which my college sims actually used to get quite often)
I recently played university with two Sims, and one of them graduated with all As and A+ every term, just showing up to class on time, doing her homework, and turning in her essays/presentations. The other Sim, she was doing fine until one day when I was playing while sleepy. I accidentally had her turn in the plagiarized paper. She was instantly caught and failed that course. After that, it was a struggle to get to class, I had to fight with her to do her homework ever, turned in one presentation that took so long she missed her next class which was a final exam, and was never able to recover and was suspended from school for failing. 😂
For one of my legacy saves, I’d have my children attend university with an apartment full of their childhood friends/partners so they’d all actually get their degrees instead of how the npcs do it
Having the sims have the responsible trait helps a lot because then they go to class and hour early autonomously and in the mean time while waiting for class just do homework. Love it.

If you wanna do this again get earbuds!! They can listen to music while doing work and the fun need will never go down. A bit cheaty but 8 sims for university is incredibly hard😭
In my legacy save my current heir's grandfather had been turned into a vampire. It was the hair's birthday where she would age up into a teen and the game glitched during the party. They were inside and somehow her grandfather burned to death but grim never came to reap him, so everyone was just standing around crying with grandpa on the floor, and I couldn't get anyone to do anything else. Had to close out and reload the game. Take two of the birthday party went much better. XD Grandpa remains alive. lol good thing too because his elderly husband is pregnant again which was not at all planned but that baby will need one parent alive to raise them XD But yeah, that's all I could think of when you said one of your 8 sims was a vampire.
I've actually done this myself. Tips: The pause button is your BEST FRIEND. Avoid speeding through things unless you're 10000% sure everyone is ok. Do NOT live on campus. Build the house front they do live in close to the front of the lot so it's quick to go out the front door to the vanish point. If you can manage to start the semester on a Monday so that you have all weekend to do the presentation and term paper and first big round of homework, do that. Pause and pause and PAUSE some more - Seriously. Assume there will be a class at every class interval and be ready to pause and see who needs to leave and get them to the front door/vanish point for the lot, then pause again the moment they're gone to have them Take Notes. Get everyone up by 6am to pee, shower and eat breakfast before the 8am class (just in case) if there are Sims who don't need to go to class that early, great! Have them clean, cook, upgrade the beds, play video games, get their socials up. Anything. And get that presentation out of the way the first break in classes that they can go do it. Don't leave it til the last day of the semester. I had all 8 Sims get A+'s all the way through their degrees like this. It's just as possible no matter which day of the week they start on, but having the weekend before classes start is the best. Hope this helps anyone! ^_^
My least favorite part of the dorms in this pack was having to leave the lot to get food so first thing I did was give everyone minifridges and microwaves. But honestly with them always being late I feel like living off campus is the move.
University with Multiple sims it’s super hard like there’s so much to keep track of I prefer to just do one then have another one good and help them later cuz if I have more than one do it in the game then just focus on just one then they end up on academic probation they won’t do anything college related by themselves in my game I’ve only had one fully finish it and another is enrolled but taking break to travel,work on her love life and skill build
I loved this! I have a new Super Sim, who's finishing HS. My other SS was started in 2015 b4 the HS & University, so I made a cousin to bring in as a teen to do them. I'm excited to take him through Collegs for multiple degrees & every school club, but I've never fully played it except Barbie. I never lived on campus at all. You make it so chaotically fun!! I'm looking forward to it even more now. 😊
I do this ALL the time because I’m weird… it’s helps to have a class schedule for all sims so you know who needs to be where and when. Also treat the student center as home base: they can do homework, get all their meals at the cafeteria, do projects, and socialize. And this may be a glitch but the earlier you complete the project for each class the less homework you have to do for the term.
i'm an animal scientist, and in college we had a meats class. we learned all about how genetics/environment/nutrition impacts the muscle/fat development, we got to interact with those animals and learn their behavior, and we even followed a few animals through the entire process of going from farm to table. it was pretty cool, and the day we cooked the meats in lab was awesome
I've done university with a 6 sim household, it worked best to not live on campus so they teleport to class. I found lot traits to be helpful such as study spot so they finish their homework faster or fast internet for writing skill and if they are on the esports team. Also if they have a high enough research and debate skill that also helps them do their homework faster. I also would line up all the projects next to each other and force them to do them all at once.
I've been doing rotational game play of uni, but each household has 6 sims and I did 3 classes for the first house, but I felt like there was no time to breathe or have shenanigans so I'm going with 2 for the next house. It will take more rotations, but if my sims don't have to spend every moment of the day either studying or mending their needs, it will be good.

I feel the vampire death! I had a whole vampire family and the youngest was studying from home. He went to classes where he rabbitholed from forgotten hollow in the middle of town. Nevertheless he came back from class, didnt seek shelter and suddenly there was a pop-up about his death. Since there is the ambrosia challenge happening, I am planning on reviving him. Also I added his ghost to my household and he is finishing his studys soon lmao

I once had a presentation disappear out of my sim's inventory, I had to get a specific mod to fix it. This challenge is extreme, I need to try it - university is so stressful in this game! But I'm always up for testing my sim's limits, they can always accomplish more than you expect.
I literally just had the same issue and both of my Sims had them, this influenced my GPA so badly 😭
Im currently playing with 8 sims in university and i had to make the homework go faster, i do 4 classes so i can get out fast lol. But what i recommend is enrolling on the weekend to have those 2 days to do the presentations and term papers 😅
You can get the presentation board by emailing your professor. Click on a computer>University>Email professors about progress...then select the class you lost your presentation board for. You will get a notification about your progress like normal but it will also add another presentation board in your inventory

I always put the dining room thing in the dorms - it still works, the staff will turn up at the right times. It's not free, which is unfortunate, but it's very handy.

to keep the bike and having your sim not leave it around. what i do is set it as preferred and your sims will always put it in inventory after riding.

I love playing as vampire sims because they don't age so you have way more time to finish your career, aspirations, skill gain. etc. They also don't need to sleep much at all, which is another bonus. The sun isn't a huge issue once you get use to playing them, I just make a bunch of the anti-sun cocktails. And if you get tired of them being the same age you can just cure it. Its an underrated occult solely for the perks it comes with, mainly being needing no sleep and no aging.
every household i make in the sims is FULL. the amount of times i quit and don’t save after losing a child due to neglect(not doing their homework😭) is insane
it would be fun if you built a house for this challenge, thinking about what would make it easier. best tv next to the food, the best beds, maybe some lights that effect their mood. the same as the best 100 baby house with the tub in the middle of the room.

I once remake the library into a performance center for all the skills. + a hidden room to sleep & woohoo. They are young adult anyway.
I usually buy my college sims earphones and have them listen to music while studying. Same with adult sims who are doing their work assignments. That tends to solve my fun need problems, plus sometimes their wants so they don't get the fear of unfulfilled dreams (which my college sims actually used to get quite often)

I recently played university with two Sims, and one of them graduated with all As and A+ every term, just showing up to class on time, doing her homework, and turning in her essays/presentations. The other Sim, she was doing fine until one day when I was playing while sleepy. I accidentally had her turn in the plagiarized paper. She was instantly caught and failed that course. After that, it was a struggle to get to class, I had to fight with her to do her homework ever, turned in one presentation that took so long she missed her next class which was a final exam, and was never able to recover and was suspended from school for failing. 😂
For one of my legacy saves, I’d have my children attend university with an apartment full of their childhood friends/partners so they’d all actually get their degrees instead of how the npcs do it
Having the sims have the responsible trait helps a lot because then they go to class and hour early autonomously and in the mean time while waiting for class just do homework. Love it.
having a vampire sim living in the dorm at the uni is SO HARD, my sim also died because she stood out in the sun instead of going home, so that's not your fault kayla

In my legacy save my current heir's grandfather had been turned into a vampire. It was the hair's birthday where she would age up into a teen and the game glitched during the party. They were inside and somehow her grandfather burned to death but grim never came to reap him, so everyone was just standing around crying with grandpa on the floor, and I couldn't get anyone to do anything else. Had to close out and reload the game. Take two of the birthday party went much better. XD Grandpa remains alive. lol good thing too because his elderly husband is pregnant again which was not at all planned but that baby will need one parent alive to raise them XD But yeah, that's all I could think of when you said one of your 8 sims was a vampire.
I've actually done this myself.
Tips: The pause button is your BEST FRIEND.
Avoid speeding through things unless you're 10000% sure everyone is ok.
Do NOT live on campus.
Build the house front they do live in close to the front of the lot so it's quick to go out the front door to the vanish point.
If you can manage to start the semester on a Monday so that you have all weekend to do the presentation and term paper and first big round of homework, do that.
Pause and pause and PAUSE some more - Seriously.
Assume there will be a class at every class interval and be ready to pause and see who needs to leave and get them to the front door/vanish point for the lot, then pause again the moment they're gone to have them Take Notes.
Get everyone up by 6am to pee, shower and eat breakfast before the 8am class (just in case) if there are Sims who don't need to go to class that early, great! Have them clean, cook, upgrade the beds, play video games, get their socials up. Anything.
And get that presentation out of the way the first break in classes that they can go do it. Don't leave it til the last day of the semester.
I had all 8 Sims get A+'s all the way through their degrees like this. It's just as possible no matter which day of the week they start on, but having the weekend before classes start is the best.

My least favorite part of the dorms in this pack was having to leave the lot to get food so first thing I did was give everyone minifridges and microwaves. But honestly with them always being late I feel like living off campus is the move.

University with Multiple sims it’s super hard like there’s so much to keep track of I prefer to just do one then have another one good and help them later cuz if I have more than one do it in the game then just focus on just one then they end up on academic probation they won’t do anything college related by themselves in my game I’ve only had one fully finish it and another is enrolled but taking break to travel,work on her love life and skill build

I loved this! I have a new Super Sim, who's finishing HS. My other SS was started in 2015 b4 the HS & University, so I made a cousin to bring in as a teen to do them. I'm excited to take him through Collegs for multiple degrees & every school club, but I've never fully played it except Barbie. I never lived on campus at all. You make it so chaotically fun!! I'm looking forward to it even more now. 😊
I do this ALL the time because I’m weird… it’s helps to have a class schedule for all sims so you know who needs to be where and when. Also treat the student center as home base: they can do homework, get all their meals at the cafeteria, do projects, and socialize. And this may be a glitch but the earlier you complete the project for each class the less homework you have to do for the term.
i'm an animal scientist, and in college we had a meats class. we learned all about how genetics/environment/nutrition impacts the muscle/fat development, we got to interact with those animals and learn their behavior, and we even followed a few animals through the entire process of going from farm to table. it was pretty cool, and the day we cooked the meats in lab was awesome

I've done university with a 6 sim household, it worked best to not live on campus so they teleport to class. I found lot traits to be helpful such as study spot so they finish their homework faster or fast internet for writing skill and if they are on the esports team. Also if they have a high enough research and debate skill that also helps them do their homework faster. I also would line up all the projects next to each other and force them to do them all at once.
The vampire dying and still have to pay the student loan is so realistic. US realistic.

I've been doing rotational game play of uni, but each household has 6 sims and I did 3 classes for the first house, but I felt like there was no time to breathe or have shenanigans so I'm going with 2 for the next house. It will take more rotations, but if my sims don't have to spend every moment of the day either studying or mending their needs, it will be good.
I cant wait to watch this 😅 I bet this was insane - I can handle two sims at Uni at the same time but Im afraid for more than that 😂

I feel the vampire death! I had a whole vampire family and the youngest was studying from home. He went to classes where he rabbitholed from forgotten hollow in the middle of town. Nevertheless he came back from class, didnt seek shelter and suddenly there was a pop-up about his death. Since there is the ambrosia challenge happening, I am planning on reviving him. Also I added his ghost to my household and he is finishing his studys soon lmao
